Heart of Sabik
The Heart of Sabik is an artifact first appeared as the core of the Ultima Weapon.
About
The ascian Lahabrea introduced the Heart of Sabik as the core of the Ultima Weapon, stating that not even the scholars of Allag were unable to understand it. The Heart of Sabik harbors the spell "Ultima". Lahabrea's purpose of the Ultima Weapon was to reawaken the Heart of Sabik with the life force of the primals to cast the spell and to reawaken his god. Afterwards the castrum is destroyed[ARR 1].
The remains of the Heart of Sabik were unknown.
Origin
This section contains spoilers for the Endwalker Raid Series Pandæmonium, especially in the third tier up to the quest Guided by the Past.
Lahabrea revealed that the Heart of Sabik is a creation of Athena even before Pandæmonium has been constructed. She mentions that the she found the crystal. It contained immense power and she began studying it. She dubbed the material "auracite" and in the end she created the crystal now known as the Heart of Sabik[1]. The origins of auracite is unknown, and the researches of the Words of Lahabrea assumed it came from beynd the star[2]. It was discovered that auracite magnifies the desires of those who come into contact with it[3]. After Lahabrea ended Athena's life, he took the Heart of Sabik, knowing the capacity of destruction, but unable to research it further[4] He wasn't aware that Athena's memories have been stored within the Heart of Sabik.
Athena was resurrected after Claudien followed a trail of aether that resembled the aether from the memory crystal of Lahabrea to the Aetherochemical Research Facility in Azys Lla, where Lahabrea was slain by the Warrior of Light. This concludes the suspicion that after the fight with the Ultima Weapon Lahabrea took the Heart of Sabik with him[5]
After Athena is defeated, the Heart of Sabik was left with Claudien. But even without Athena's memories it still contains the power of auracite and Claudien will keep it as a research object[6].
Currently, the material the Heart of Sabik consists of is called "black auracite"[7].

Etymology
The word "Sabik" can have multiple origins:
- From the turkish verb "sabık", meaning "former, previous, preceding"[1]
- From the babylonian noun "sabík", meaning "keen desire, eagerness"[2]
