At fifty-five summers, Professor Galveroche Larille is known far and wide for his nutritional expertise. As a student, he was close with Mervyn, a young man so enthusiastic about gourmet cuisine that he withdrew from the Studium to found the Last Stand, neglecting even his own health in his fervor. Whether it was this tendency or simply fate that saw Mervyn die young, the tragedy left his friend with a lifelong distaste for gourmet cuisine and a fanatical obsession to create the perfect nutritional replacement. This would guide him to develop the relatively inoffensive Archon loaf that is so prevalent in Sharlayan today, as well as the even more nutritious—yet wholly unpleasant—panaloaf in preparation for mankind's exodus to the stars.
