Caerkympf

Caerkympf was once a notorious and bloodthirsty pirate, known across the Five Seas, especially in Limsa Lominsa. One day, following a battle at sea, Caerkympf was cast into the ocean where he was sure to drown. As luck would have it however, he was rescued by a humble fisherman. To show his gratitude, Caerkympf swore an oath to repay his debt. The fisherman told the pirate about how his village had been beset by Amalj'aa, and Caerkympf made for the village. He drove off the invading Amalj'aa and ensured they would not attack again.

Word of these deeds reached the Sultana, who brought the pirate before her. To show her thanks, she had a set of armor made for him, known as the Creed Armor, to signify that he had repaid his debt. Following this, Caerkympf gave up his life as a pirate and became a Paladin.

Caerkympf's name means "Sad Champion" in the traditional Roegadyn language.
