Dialogue

In order to undertake this quest, you must first meet the following requirements:
1. FINAL FANTASY XIV: Dawntrail must be registered to your service account.
2. You must be a beastmaster.
3. You must have completed the Second Master's Board.
I knew it! I knew you would win, Ser/Lady Forename!
While Lady Lauda appeared much refreshed, it was Ser Guttler who had bitter words upon the matter of their defeat. “Wherefore didst our bond prove insufficient?” ...Or some such thing.
Anyhow, after reassuring Ser Guttler of his admirable performance, Lady Lauda conceded it was time for you to receive special training.
As you've cleared all boards with ease, she has made arrangements to see that you are given a proper run for your gil, as it were.
Three degrees of difficulty, each more trying than the last. As Wiseteach J'yhuh Tia tells me, the path of a beastmaster is seldom easy...but the joy upon finding your way is well worth the effort. Let us forge ahead, my friend!
Degrees have been unlocked for the Crucible of the Unbroken. To adjust the difficulty for different boards, speak with Lauda in Bentbranch Meadows.
Furthermore, Crucible Rankings have been unlocked. Compete with players worldwide to achieve the highest score.
You will only be eligible for rankings while challenging boards under the third degree. For more information, speak with Lauda in Bentbranch Meadows.
Optional dialogue
I simply must share my happy news─Wiseteach J'yhuh Tia has granted me permission to forge my first pact!
One's first familiar is of utmost importance, so I mustn't rush into a hasty commitment... Yet how I long for my own beastfriend! Oh, what to do...
Guttler and I are forever bound by sin, ours a pact forged with blood...and now fellowship. While some scars never fade, a companion who knows and accepts you is by far the greater blessing.
But I preach to one who knows such connection and more. I must admit, you've outdone me.
Even this defeat I accept with joy. It affords me greater opportunity to practice with Guttler, to grow stronger with and alongside him. You must allow us a return match someday.
As Sylmond may have informed you, we have adjusted the Crucible to accommodate your needs. By “we,” I mean Guttler and the rest of the valiant souls who reside upon the boards. We all have great hopes for you, Forename, and the camaraderie you champion.
