Ghastly purple flames illuminate what would otherwise appear to be an ordinary fishing village, were it not for the telltale presence of militant voidsent. According to the Archive, it is in fact the birthplace of Mhach, recreated most faithfully.

It all began on the shores of Yafaem─the day an artifact was hauled out of the sea. From it emerged a "demon" which bestowed unto the villagers vast arcane knowledge. Brilliant minds pursued greater and greater advancements, particularly of the destructive variety, whereby the sorceress Shatotto established the founding principles of black magic. Thereafter, what was once a humble village grew rapidly into an emergent nation.
