While in melee range, the toad will cast Toad Oil without a cast bar, granting itself Evasion Up.

Other Tips

Using Toad Oil before Self-destruct greatly increases the potency from 1,500 to 1,800.
The increased evasion does not impact most bosses, making this spell have very limited uses. While it boosts Self-destruct, in most (single-target) situations, it is better to use a buffed Final Sting (2,000 potency) instead.
