Named such for its uncanny ability to break underwater salt formations with its cog-like teeth, this glutinous specimen feeds on the tiny fish that are left in the wake of its destruction. And while those fry would disagree, salt collectors who work the bleached shores of the Lochs treat saltmill sightings as a symbol of providence.
