"Like all true artists, we must make sacrifices for our craft."

Redolent Rose is the acting master of the Weavers’ Guild. As one might expect, he has a deep interest in beauty, and one goal drives his tireless pursuit: the creation of raiments that allow the wearer to, in his words “cut a fine figure.” The fashion-savvy Hellsguard is also known to be the genius behind the sultana’s pink ceremonial gown—a feather in the cap of a man who has not yet seen his twenty-seventh summer.

— In-game description

Redolent Rose is a Roegadyn in Ul'dah - Steps of Thal. He is the guildmaster of the Weavers' Guild and is the main NPC in the A Realm Reborn weaver quests.

Lore

The guildmaster of the Weavers Guild, Redolent Rose is driven by the desire to create only the most beautiful outfits and garments. Passionate about fashion, he instructs the Warrior of Light in the skills of a 'Weaver, helping them fulfill the various orders that come through. Redolent Rose's largest claim to fame is creating the Sultana's iconic pink dress.

It is believed that when Redolent Rose isn't running the guild, he dons the mask and moniker of the mysterious "Masked Rose," a fashion judge at the Gold Saucer who issues a challenge to find the best-dressed adventurer and rewards the winners with mountains of Manderville Gold Saucer Points. However, when questioned Masked Rose has denied this alternate identity, so perhaps it is just a coincidence that the two Roegadyn share such an uncanny resemblance and zeal for dresswear.
