Preservation

Preservation was a group of Alexandrian scientists who studied electrope technology as a way to preserve their society in the aftermath of The Storm Surge. They created the Endless, regulators, and Everkeep as well as the means to transport it to different reflections using an artifact simply known as "the key".

Calyx, Demetrius, Eosphor, and an unknown female Hyune are the only known confirmed members. Calyx is the founder of Preservation, while Demetrius is a high-ranking member. Robor and Alayla were members at one point, but defected to found the competing organization Oblivion. Research conducted by Preservation was highly confidential, and defecting members were typically executed.

One of Preservation's objectives was to understand the nature behind the key to interdimensional fusion. Preservation was unsuccessful in deciphering the functional core of the key—a crystal—but created a chalice-shaped vessel using electrope to augment its function.

Preservation has research facilities throughout Everkeep, such as Containment Complex 10-29 on the 10th level.
