The eldest of the three Songbirds, Narumi Kakeya was born twenty-one years ago to a merchant from Hingashi. It was while accompanying her father on an expedition to Ul'dah that she was recruited into the group by the royal seneschal, and though at first she found the prospect of performing in a foreign land daunting, she pushed forward in an effort to overcome her bashful nature. Suffice it to say that, in spite of her father's opposition, Narumi has finally found her voice.
