A Mender or Independent Mender is a class of NPC that can repair the durability of a piece of gear, for a gil fee.

Mender NPCs are only able to repair gear up to 100% durability, with their gil fee scaling according to the amount of durability gained.

By contrast, players using the Repair action can repair gear up to 199% durability, but at the cost of a Dark Matter ingredient. Each piece of gear also requires a specific crafting class to be leveled in order to repair it.
