Means of Travel
Several ways of travelling exist in Eorzea. Some are more common while others are restricted.

1 ilm An adult Hyuran thumb, a ripe rolanberry 1 fulm 12 ilms, an adult Hyuran foot, a grown chocobo tailfeather 1 yalm 3 fulms, a bastard sword blade, an adult Lalafellin male 1 malm 1760 yalms, the distance an adult Elezen can run in a tenth bell, the approximate height of O'Ghomoro
Aetheryte
A way to travel via the lifestream and to cover longer distances in a short amount of time. To uphold the operation costs for the aetheryte network, a small fee need to be paid.
Anima
Anima is needed to have the ability to use aetherytes. Not everyone has the same amount of Anima within them, so not everyone can use aetherytes as much or often, or not even at all. Usually, Adventurers have more Anima.
Aethersickness
Travelling without atunement or other aflictions towards aether can cause Aethersickness.

Airships
Ferrys
Ship
Especially longer travels are done by ship.
Othard
Falcon and Yols
Instead of Chocobos, Falcons are used to cover short distances. Yols are for the Warriors of the Steppe who passed the trials in Bardam's Mettle.
Horses
Next to Yols Tribes of the Azim Steppe also rely on Horses for means of transportation.
Tural
Dirigible
Train
Especially for Shaaloani on the continent of Yok'Tural, the Train is a mean of travel to Yyasulani.
This section contains spoilers for Dawntrail.
