Llymlaen

Llymlaen, watcher of the seas and goddess of navigation, is the guardian deity of Limsa Lominsa. She commands the element of wind and is associated with the fifth moon of the Eorzean calendar. Llymlaen is the daughter of Thaliak, and the eldest sister of Nophica. She is most often depicted as a strong fisherwoman wielding a long-bladed harpoon. Her symbol is the wave. [1]
Mythology
Llymlaen is the daughter of Azeyma and Thaliak. She took on the water and lakes created by her grandmother Nymeia and expanded it, creating the world's seas.[2]
Legend also posits her as lover to Oschon, the Wanderer, but describes their relationship as either inconsistent (and therefore childless) or unrequited, due to his transient nature.[3]
The Heaven of Wind is a mountain range overlooking an endless sea ruled by Llymlaen, where adventurers and explorers, mountain climbers and saints come to rest. However, the wind blowing off the mountains creates terrible gales in the Pit, which rips the flesh from defilers of the land and sea, pirates and bandits. This is what is known as the Hell of Wind.[4]
