King Manfred

King Manfred was the ruler of Ala Mhigo at the time of the Autumn War, in which Ala Mhigo, in a bid to expand its territory into the Black Shroud, asserts its sovereign right to the land and sent military groups into the Shroud to seize the land. After only a year, the war ended decisively when the other city-states band together to form the Eorzean Alliance and stand against him. In the final battle, Manfred was wounded while rushing to the frontlines to improve morale. At some point in the following years, King Manfred passed away and was laid to rest in Abalathia's Skull.
