A maiden who inherited the soul of the Ascian Loghrif and became the Oracle of Darkness, Gaia was born to free-citizen parents in Eulmore and raised by bonded servants, in what was a common arrangement. As the Hume grew older, she began hearing a voice in her head. The "faerie," as she called it, was later revealed to be the Ascian Mitron, who had turned into Eden long ago. For a time she was held in his thrall, her memories shrouded in a haze, but after meeting the Warrior of Darkness and joining them on a quest to restore the Empty, she was able to regain her identity. Having become fast friends with Ryne, from whom she received her cherished ice crystal necklace, this young woman of seventeen years enjoys fulfilling days at the Crystarium, working with her fellow youths to host a festival celebrating the restoration of the First.
