This barding changes the appearance of the player's chocobo companion or racing chocobo.
Notes
- This barding only includes a head piece. It does not include body or leg pieces.
Historical
Prior to Patch 5.3, this item was obtained upon completing the quest I Believe I Can Fly. This quest would unlock the ability for the Company Chocobo to fly, as long as the Flyer Shaffron was equipped. The quest also unlocked flight on other chocobo mounts, such as Legacy Chocobo and Fat Chocobo.
In Patch 5.3, flying was made available in all A Realm Reborn areas, unlocked as soon as players complete The Ultimate Weapon. The quest for the shaffron was removed at that time, the company chocobo was made able to fly without it, and the shaffron was moved to achievement certificate rewards instead.
