Durandal

Durandal is a holy blade that was crafted in recognition of the birth of Ul'dah and the Sultansworn. This, alongside the Curtana, Joyeuse and Oathkeeper were all created from the same ore, and are sister blades. This was gifted to one of the first Paladins of the Sultansworn.

Durandal is also a server in the Japanese Gaia Data Center.

Etymology

In real life, Durandal is the sword of the famed French hero, Roland, knight in service to emperor Charlemagne.
