Notes

Darkscale will primarily attack Vedrfolnir and only occasionally attack random players, regardless of enmity. Due to this, a tank is not necessary.

When Darkscale summons dark levin crystals and tethers to them, he will gain Vulnerability Down and take negligible damage until they are destroyed. This will happen three times during the fight.

FATE Chain Information

This is part of the FATE chain that awards two achievements:

Darkscale Descendeth (x:18.0, y:12.0); has a cooldown of one hour to respawn
Darkscale Disappeareth (x:18.0, y:12.0)
Darkscale Devoureth (x:18.0, y:9.0) — Awards Tipping the Scales achievement
These three FATEs must be completed (in any order) to spawn Vedrfolnir Devoteth, either before or after Darkscale Devoureth is completed:
- Rastaban Vibration (x:14.0, y:13.0)

When Darkscale's health reaches 75%

Darkscale: You are a worthy foe...for a traitor.

Vedrfolnir: Face the truth, Darkscale! You are beaten!

Darkscale: Beaten? I think not... Behold!!! O, Nidhogg! Give unto me your strength!

Darkscale summons a Dark Levin Crystal, which tethers to him.

Vedrfolnir: The air stirs...? The crystals...! He drinks of their power!

Darkscale: The fire! It wells from within! Now I shall smite you like the worm you are!

When Darkscale's health reaches 50%

Darkscale: I cannot fall to this traitor...! I must have more power!

Vedrfolnir: You know not what you do, Darkscale!
Vedrfolnir: The power you seek will destroy you!

Darkscale: Silence, fool! Gladly would I give my life in service to my lord! I must have more power! MORE!!!

Darkscale summons two more Dark Levin Crystals.

Darkscale: GWAHAHAHA!!! I AM INVINCIBLE!

Vedrfolnir: No words will reach him now... Steel yourself. We face a desperate foe.

Darkscale: COME, AND I SHALL SMITE YOU!

When Darkscale's health reaches 25%

Darkscale: How can this be!? Such power is mine, and still the traitor does not fall! I must have more strength... Give unto me the power...! Give unto me all there is to give!

Vedrfolnir: You only hasten your own demise, Darkscale!

Darkscale summons three more Dark Levin Crystals.

Darkscale: GRAHAHAHA... I HAVE DRUNK MY FILL.

Vedrfolnir: He has exceeded his physical limits. What drives him to such madness...?

Darkscale: COME, TRAITOR!!!
I SHALL TEAR THE WINGS FROM YOUR BACK!!!
Darkscale: MY CLAWS SHALL RIP THE SCALES FROM YOUR FLESH AS MY FIRE CHARS YOUR CORPSE TO A SHRIVELED HUSK!!! YOU WILL BURN, VEDRFOLNIR! BURN!!!

Vedrfolnir: Alas, the proud dragon who once lived is now gone... Consumed by power and hate, he is but a machine of destruction now. Join me, mortal, and let us put Darkscale out of his misery!

When Darkscale's health reaches 10%

Vedrfolnir: Our foe is strong... ...and his power grows with each passing moment.
