Custom Matches
Custom Matches allow 2 teams to freely battle each other in The Feast PvP. With the requisite number of players present, players can use custom matches to initiate 4 on 4 or 8 on 8 matches. It is also possible to invite additional players to watch via the spectator mode, which is explained in further detail below.
- Released in patch 3.4.
Rules
The rules of engagement and victory requirements are the same as those in a regular match in the Feast.
- The results of a custom match will not be reflected on player PvP profiles, nor will they count toward achievements.
Item Level Sync
An item level sync of item level 150 will be applied to all players participating in a custom match.
Rematch
When a custom match has ended, both parties will be given the option to begin anew with the same parties. All members from both parties must select Accept Rematch before a new match can begin. Using this option, parties may engage in up to five matches before they must leave the instance.
Chat
The following chat channels are available during custom matches:
Party/Free Company/Linkshell/Novice Network/Shout
- Both combatants and spectators can freely use the above mentioned chat channels.
- Use of the Free Company, Linkshell, and Novice Network channels also pertains to communication with players outside of the instance.
Registering for Custom Matches
A 4 on 4 match will require two parties of four players. Likewise, an 8 on 8 match will require two full parties. The party leader of the hosting party must target the second party leader and select Invite to a Custom Match from the subcommand menu. The party that sends the invitation will be designated as the Claws.
When the second party leader has accepted the invitation to battle, a new window will appear for both parties confirming registration for a custom match. After both parties have finished making preparations, the host party leader can finalize the registration to begin.
Registration for a custom match will be canceled under the following circumstances:
- The party leaders change areas.
- One or both parties change party leaders.
- A party member logs out.
- A party member leaves one of the two parties.
- A new party member joins one of the two parties
- One or both of the parties disband.
- The leader of the invited party declines the invitation.
- The hosting party leader selects Cancel All on the registration window.
