“For reasons unknown, sharks were a popular foundation upon which many ancients built their creations, modifying almost every imaginable aspect of the poor creatures. Altered sizes, biological environments to ensure survival in different bodies of water, wings to enable flight, greater intellect, and even extra heads were all bestowed upon sharks at one point or another. In the case of the petalodus, functional limbs allowed the creature to walk on land for the gods only know what purpose.
