Lore

"I see nothing great about that...that... What is it, exactly? I refuse to believe that it's a serpent."

A member of the Night's Blessed, Valan is a sensible nineteen-year-old with a good nature and skilled hands, which he puts to use crafting tools under his parents' tutelage. Due to a long-standing friendship between their families, he and Quinfort grew up like brothers, and the slightly older Valan was often tasked with keeping the unruly Quinfort in check. When the latter claimed to have peculiar visions, Valan put no stock in the tales, but an encounter with a mysterious creature purported to be an incarnation of the Great Serpent of Ronka led him to question his preconceptions.
