Dialogue

Forename Surname... I didn't know you took part in cosmic exploration! Well, as a member of the scouting party, I reckon I can fill you in on a few things.

Tell me about yourself

I traveled the realm for decades as an arborist of sorts, visiting my forest village on occasion, until I settled down at Meryall Agronomics in Labyrinthos.
To think contributing botanical knowledge to the ark project would lead me to the stars... My sweetheart back home would be shocked if she knew!
But while Auxesian soil is ideal for putting our studies to practice, plants don't grow overnight─so when I have time, I show folks around and check on the trees.

Auxesia

Well, I hear it's the ninth astral body in the EG-1 star system and over seven carrots from Etheirys, which I've been assured is quite far.
We got here following a navigational chart left on Oizys by the Voyagers─but whatever we expected to find, it wasn't an entire abandoned city!
At any rate, Auxesia is easily the most habitable of the three stars we've reached. The environs are so stable, the rainbow crystal need hardly operate at all.
Yet despite the abundance of aether, not a single soul remains─man or beast─leaving only the plants to benefit. It's almost as though everyone vanished without a trace...

Timberpond

Timberpond refers to the eastern district encompassing our outpost. Being comparatively clear of trees, like a logging ground, makes for an ideal starship harbor.
The city stands upon the canopies of colossal trees, aetherically augmented to an altitude of several hundred fulms above ground, with a roadway linking each substructure.
Do you reckon the natives settled up here in pursuit of sunlight? Honestly, I can't believe nearly all of these buildings are made of wood!

The Emerald Nervure

The Emerald Nervure is a long road that runs through the heart of the city. The way it connects the substructures, like the veins of a leaf, paints a vivid picture of how the Voyagers may have raced along them in their vehicles.
In fact, I get the sense they had a rather sizable population, too. How many cities of comparable scale can be found on Etheirys, I wonder?
Given its age, though, I feared the Nervure might crumble beneath our feet. Luckily, I'm told it has all the resilience of reinforced fibers!

Full Bloom Gardens

The northwestern cluster looks a bit different from the rest. Like a pastoral landscape, it features more plant life than overtly man-made structures.
For such an advanced civilization, what purpose might these swaths of empty land have served? Farmland, parkland, or perhaps holy ground?
Our research is ongoing, but the flora may well hold the answers. Indeed, with a better grasp of the city layout, I daresay full many theories will emerge...

The Netroot Radius

The Netroot Radius is the southeast substructure, home to the Sprouting Towerling, its supporting facilities, and potentially an aetheric confluence, if the overgrowth is any indication.
In fact, theory has it that the tower is part of a system which redirects that surfeit of aether to the city core.
Likewise, the logistics of powering an energization station dictated we build our cosmoport here─and for all we know, perhaps we weren't the first to do so.

Sylvan Stacks

Requires Development Log 7 unlocked on the server.

Sylvan Stacks in the northwest features not only the Sunning Towerling but rows of crystals amid the trees, offering an uncommon contrast of green and blue.
The largest is said to store vast quantities of data, not entirely unlike the “concepts” used by the Loporrits. A crystalline library, one might say!
With the Sunning Towerling revived, I expect the surrounding crystals are next to be analyzed. I can but imagine how much information lies dormant within...

The Stratostone Stand

Requires Development Log 11 unlocked on the server.

The Stratostone Stand refers to the southwestern dome. Like Sylvan Stacks, the tower there stands surrounded by crystals that offer both power and storage.
We suspect they were all brought here from Oizys. Yet while the city lay abandoned, they've continued to grow in size by absorbing aether.
The Rooting Towerling, meanwhile, is notable for its separation of the transmitter from the main interior. Both are doubtless vital components, sheltered as they are from the elements.

The Core Shroud

Requires Development Log 15 unlocked on the server.

Towering to the north, you'll find the Core Shroud, the sacred white forest at the heart of Auxesia.
The upper level is a series of facilities encased in resin domes. We're currently investigating Grandma Laurel at the center, but the rest are no less functional.
I'm told the names of this and the other towers were designed to reflect a family─and a remarkable one at that, given all its technological advancements!
