Oizys
That giant crystalline form is the Euhedron. Analysis suggests it is composed of a peculiar, highly pure mineral found here on the star.
Structurally, it differs markedly from the rainbow crystal, and appears to house vast quantities of data. By activating it, we hope to access whatever lies within.
Some of our researchers attest that the crystal has structural characteristics in common with fossilized trees─with notable deviations due to mutation, of course. Perhaps Oizys was once heavily forested...
After Development Log 11
Since activating the crystals and entering the ruins, our investigation has made considerable progress. As far as we can glean, these passageways are not the result of excavation─at least not in the conventional sense.
We believe the structures forming the Megalithopolis were coaxed from the ground via aetheric manipulation. I posit the same method was used to create these tunnels.
No doubt its builders sought the mineral veins that streak the depths in these parts. In other words, you and I are likely standing in an ancient mine.
As for the crystalline structure, we've taken to calling it the Guide Stone, for it appears to control the ruins in their entirety.
It is unquestionably our next object of study, and pivotal to unlocking the secrets of Desert Burrow. Of this I am sure!

Here we are in what must be the furthest depths of the ruins, standing before yet another crystal! The next phase of inquiry awaits─but where to begin?

I'm currently analyzing the data gleaned from our Desert Burrow investigations. I sense we're on the precipice of startling new discoveries regarding the crystals and their true form!
After competling Oizys
The research teams and I are busy analyzing the navigational chart that appeared once the Euhedron was reactivated. Simply put, this is the culmination of all our efforts here on Oizys!
If we can determine the route traversed by the star's former inhabitants, what choice will we have but to set a course for that very location! I sense exciting times ahead for the initiative!

What will you ask about?
The Megalithopolis.
Constructing the habitation modules was a major malmstone for the initiative. Once they were complete, the Megalithopolis quickly began to feel like a thriving hub of activity!
Of course, the endeavor demanded significant improvements to the base's infrastructure─the rainbow crystal in particular.
Speaking of which, the scouting party had a torrid time on arrival without any counteracting force to the gravity spheres. Indeed, they had to use gravitational magicks just to gain a foothold!
Base infrastructure.
Providing sufficient energy and water to meet our needs was an early project goal, lest we were to endure constant shortages. Thus, plans were drawn up for energization and hydrofication stations.
I also had the construction teams build this personal laboratory for me. Given how power-hungry my research instruments are, I deemed it paramount to be close to the energy supply.
And I'm happy to report that I haven't suffered a single power outage! Though the less said about the state of my lab the better─I can never seem to find the time to tidy when I get absorbed in my work...
The gravitational generators.
With the completion of those sophisticated machines, we gained access to Shadefleet. The technology itself is a remarkable blend of Loporrit ingenuity and gravitational magicks that allows us to bend gravity to our will!
In theory, the devices will maintain their hold on the floating rock bridge in near-perpetuity.
Some suggested we fashion a rudimentary chain bridge between the two points, but the plan was abandoned. The opposing landmass is slowly shifting towards the gravitational anomaly─we concluded the chains would have snapped under such extreme tension.
Activating the Euhedron.
The Euhedron is the giant crystalline form in the center of Terra Firma. Our analysis showed it is composed of a strange, incredibly pure mineral found here on Oizys.
Structurally, it differs considerably from the rainbow crystal, and its complex internal circuitry houses vast quantities of data. Thankfully, we were able to reactivate it, and are currently analyzing the information stored within.
Some of our researchers attest that the crystal bears similarities to fossilized trees─albeit nigh mutated beyond recognition. Maybe Oizys was once a more verdant land?
Excavating the entrance to Desert Burrow.
When an anomaly exposed part of an ancient structure, we began to speculate that a sizable complex lay hidden beneath the sand and rock.
Thinking about what we might uncover filled me with such excitement! I could scarcely restrain myself at the time.
In retrospect, that excitement was premature─for we had an arduous task ahead of us shifting all that debris!
Unlock the entrance to Desert Burrow.
As you may recall, Desert Burrow is the moniker Namingway bestowed upon the ruins in the north.
Excavating the rubble unveiled a door that scans suggested was mere ilms thick, implying an empty space lay just beyond.
We also discovered two crystalline objects by the entrance which I correctly hypothesized to be an unlocking mechanism. And once we stepped inside, oh, how my mind raced at the prospect of learning more about the star's past!
Activating the Guide Stone in Desert Burrow.
Once we activated the crystals and entered the ruins, our investigation made considerable progress. Interestingly, it soon became apparent that the passageways we traversed were not the result of excavation in the traditional sense.
We believe the various parts of the Megalithopolis were coaxed from the ground via aetheric manipulation, and I posited the same method was used to remove the material necessary to create those tunnels.
I made an assertion─that the tunnels were built in the pursuit of minerals found in the region. In other words, what we had discovered was, in fact, an ancient mine.
We named the first crystal we found within those tunnels the Guide Stone, as it seemed to be a kind of control interface for the ruins as a whole.
It was clear to us that we would need to study the crystal, lest the secrets of Desert Burrow lay forever out of reach.
Reawakening the Metahedron.
Awakening the Guide Stone led us to the Metahedron─yet another crystal slumbering in the ruins!
With that discovery, I was confident the tunnels were indeed the remnants of an ancient mine, for the crystals were clearly natural formations.
Even at the time, we hypothesized the Metahedron stored data in a similar fashion to the Euhedron.
It is worth mentioning that the crystal's excellent condition gave us high hopes we could reactivate it. At any rate, it was in a far better state than we found its Terra Firma sibling in!
The Orthostat Tower.
After our successes in Desert Burrow, our sights were set on building a giant aetheric resonator in Terra Firma. We hoped the device would compensate for defects and data loss in the Euhedron and secure a path to its complete reawakening.
It was at this point that we finished examining the Metahedron's aetherial signature and discovered that it, too, contained a wealth of data.
Although I must point out that we had only verified the presence of data, not its content or format.
We did, however, ascertain that the Euhedron and Metahedron bore corresponding aetherial signatures. Our initial conclusion was that they contained the same data.
The purpose of the aetheric resonance device was to link the two crystals. By synchronizing the pair, we could theoretically supplement the Euhedron's missing data with that preserved on the Metahedron, thereby restoring the former.
Restoring the Euhedron.
Once the Orthostat Tower was finished, work began on synchronizing the two crystals and restoring the Euhedron. By this stage I could sense how tantalizingly close we were to understanding the star's esoteric past!
Upon activation, the tower generated a torrent of aetherial information invisible to the naked eye.
It took some time to synchronize the two crystals due to the sheer volume of data involved, but the wait only made the discovery of the navigational chart all the sweeter!
Nothing.
Auxesia
After completing Auxesia
I never dreamed we'd come face-to-face with a Voyager─or should I say, Nagylvi─but I cannot deny we've earned it.
We stand to learn a great deal about Auxesia directly from its erstwhile inhabitants. Nevertheless, our research shall take no shortcuts.
This knowledge is to be gathered, processed, recorded, and shared. But above all, the greatest value lies in the pursuit itself.

The Timberlodge.
Cosmic exploration cannot begin without habitation modules. For a blessing, the sturdy substructures of Auxesia spared us the effort of laying our own foundation.
In the end, we added an entirely new neighborhood to the city. But make no mistake, we were happy to repurpose some existing structures as well.
More difficult by far was the challenge posed to us by the overgrown plant life. 'Twas a thorn in our side right from the moment we landed.
Base infrastructure.
We made sure to establish our essential infrastructure early on. Even locally sourced aether and water must be processed for our safety, after all.
Admittedly I had hoped the energization station would power not only the Timberlodge, but the abandoned Auxesian technology. Alas, we had no such luck.
At any rate, my personal laboratory is still right here next to it, and you are ever welcome to visit.
Revivifying the Sprouting Towerling.
The Sprouting Towerling was our first restoration project. At the time, we had no idea that it was the city network's primary port.
As we had seen before on Oizys, aether deprivation had resulted in prolonged inactivity. Our task was to trim the overgrowth obstructing the currents.
But the research team had a solution─an alchemical solution, that is. Modified from the aetheric stimulant used on Oizys, it restored the plants to standard parameters.
Linking to the Sprouting Towerling.
Once the Sprouting Towerling was discovered to hold a data storage device on par with the Euhedron on Oizys, we knew a direct connection would expedite our analysis.
Thus we expanded our base to encompass the tower, primarily by upgrading the energization station and installing an aether converter.
By processing and converting the data into lightning aether, we had a far easier time reading it, which in turn hastened our analysis tenfold!
Accessing Sylvan Stacks.
The Sprouting Towerling's aether circuits all but confirmed that which we had begun to suspect: the northwestern tower was itself another nonfunctional mechanism.
Unfortunately, the overgrowth was such an impediment that we were forced to utilize heavy machinery to blast our way through.
Back then, we had no idea how Auxesia's erstwhile civilization dealt with such robust plant life─only that their absence was surely detrimental to the star.
Revivifying the Sunning Towerling.
As you may recall, our first restoration project required little more than treating abnormal plant growth. Alas, not so with the Sunning Towerling.
Fortunately, we noticed several arcane mechanisms connected to the interior and had the bright idea to supply them with aether.
We still don't know precisely why it was isolated from the city circuits, but I suspect it was done intentionally to preserve operational stability.
Growing the Teletrope.
The Stratostone Stand was believed nonfunctional, engulfed in all-consuming crystalline growths─until the discovery of a third tower.
There was one small problem, however: we didn't see a way to get there. We could but hope to find the answer in the abandoned Auxesian drones.
We knew the relics were capable of manipulating the trees' growth in any direction─and for a mercy, we had the means to repair them.
Thus the drones empowered us to sculpt a bridge of roots sturdy enough for even the heaviest of machinery. And so it was named the Teletrope!
Revivifying the Rooting Towerling.
By the time we discovered the Rooting Towerling, we had plenty of experience with Auxesian architecture.
We knew the first two towers powered the network circuitry, and while we had no proof, we suspected this third tower was a data processing hub.
Sure enough, once reactivated, the Rooting Towerling brought the entire city network back into action along with it!
Reaching the Core Shroud summit.
Once we realized the city's central mechanisms were concentrated in the Core Shroud, we knew in all likelihood it held the most vital data.
Sure enough, scouting drones confirmed multiple indoor facilities at the summit. Alas, the sheer altitude would turn a second Teletrope into a miserably steep climb.
Instead we opted to send the crew up in augmented vacuum suits to hose down the plants and clear the aether blockage.
Once the aether's flow was restored, so too were the summit's systems, enabling us to extend the Cosmoliner!
Rebooting Grandma Laurel.
As I suspected, Auxesia's core system shared the same...symptoms, shall we say, as the Euhedron on Oizys.
Both composed of the same jasper, both long dormant due to aether deprivation...and the arcane circuits were all but withered away.
Fortunately, because everything was sculpted from plants, we knew our alchemical solution would be effective─and thus we could revive the entire room!
