Gameplay

Death's Design can be applied up to 60 seconds. Applications that would overcap this timer will be capped at 60 seconds. It is highly recommended to always have this status effect applied on opponents. Reapers should refresh Death's Design before it expires, but not overcap the duration. Opponents who are defeated while under this status effect grants 10 Soul Gauge to the reaper who applied it. This allows for exellent Death Gauge generation from trash pulls, allowing to recoup for the loses of GCDs in between travel time, or even additional uses of Enshroud windows. Actions that apply Death's Design do not generate Soul Gauge; opponent(s) who force downtime may result in more potential Soul Gauge being lost.

Both actions are available while Enshrouded. This is to ensure that the potencies of the actions granted by Enshroud can be boosted by Death's Design. For optimization purposes, these actions also act as both a refresh and a filler action to facilitate the execution of "double Enshroud" bursts, which is the inclusion of two uses of Communio, Perfectio, and as many Reaping and Lemure actions as possible within the duration of Arcane Circle. This is to also allow for Plentiful Harvest to be executed at a perfect time, as it cannot be executed until Bloodsown Circle granted by Arcane Circle wears off.
