For much of his forty-five summers, this Hume earned his keep by protecting merchant caravans with his axe, but nowadays most of his work comes through the scavenger Rhal Ral. Despite differences in age upbringing, the two get along famously, and Darmal will never turn down a job from Rhal Ral—nor miss an opportunity to complain about it. More than the treasure itself, he appears to enjoy raising a toast to a valuable find, even if that toast is of Mord swill.
