Defending the Hive and Keeping the Hive will continue to alternate until one is failed, at which point it starts over with Breaching the Hive.
Tips and Tricks
Completion of this FATE unlocks the ability to purchase the 
Baby Raptor minion from Boughbury Trader. Which FATE spawns next depends on if there are any Wood Wailer NPCs left alive. If there are, Defending the Hive begins, and if not, Keeping the Hive starts.
