Similar to banshees in that they wield protoplasmic appendages to probe the inner recesses of their victims' minds in a futile search for answers to their being, haunts have stronger ties still to the corporeal realm, their material forms lending to images of tormented children or decrepit elders. There are Far Eastern seers who go as far as to claim haunts are the spawn of a great evil...yet little evidence has been provided to support this theory.
