Unequipped for digging, antlions will instead rapidly vibrate their legs, effectively reducing the soil beneath their feet into a fine grain that acts much like a liquid. It is into this newly formed “pool” that the vilekin will sink its body, covering all but the tips of its antennae, which it then uses to detect any creature unfortunate enough to happen by.
