Wild sabotenders are believed to have developed this ability to channel their aether toward others as a means of protecting particularly fruitful members of their species─as survival in arid climes ever comes at a cost.

Spawns during the second boss fight. Because the boss has a lower amount of health compared to other bosses at the same level, blue mages should take caution to not kill the boss too quickly.

Acquisition Tips
- Sabotender Gaurdia will spawn during the last phase of the fight against The Sunken Temple of Qarn (Hard), Sabotender Emperatriz (the 2nd boss of the dungeon), and will use it after a short delay after spawning. Once a diamond shaped barrier appears around the boss (similar to paladin's
Cover effect), the spell has been cast.
Other Tips
- This spell cannot be casted on oneself; a party member must be targeted.
- This spell is analogous to buddy mitigation abilities. It has a cast time, however.
- Because this action is on the global cooldown, it can be repeatedly executed, though this is not recommended.
- Contexts where buddy mitigations are used (i.e. a tankbuster, a wounded party member before a raidwide) is when this action could be used. Due to other mitigation abilities blue mages possess and limited spells a blue mage can choose, however, this action is not commonly used.
- It is recommended to cast this spell while
mimicking a tank.
