The ancestor of the dread morbol, this many-mouthed horror was created by the Words of Halmarut, peerless masters over flora. Their aim was to make the most fearsome ambulatory plant that had ever existed, and judging by this creation's descendants, they were beyond successful in that respect. The powerful gas the marquis spews from its maws renders would-be predators instantly comatose, during which time the creature is free to feast upon them at leisure.
