A Dunesfolk of thirty-six summers, Popokkuli is the elder of the eponymous twin sons of Amajina & Sons Mineral Concern. An accomplished miner in his own right, he was one of the young revolutionaries who joined Niellefresne’s uprising fifteen years ago. At the behest of Greinfarr, he joins his former comrades in their quest to solve the mystery of the undecaying corpse.

Along with his brother Seserukka, with whom he is always seen, Popokkuli is an employee and enforcer of the Amajina & Sons Mineral Concern. Like his twin brother Seserukka, he is possessed of both a feared reputation and impressive strength for someone his size, able to hurl a fully-grown Hyur clear out of a room. He is distinguishable from his brother by his green sleeves, lack of a jacket, and dark trousers; his left eye is a very pale brown and his right is a deep green.
