Life Surge is an action unlocked at level 6. It is available for Lancer / Dragoon.

Full Thrust / 
Heavens' Thrust (the strongest weaponskill available for Dragoon), followed by the fifth action in a "combo" sequence (i.e., 
Fang and Claw if it follows 
Wheeling Thrust, or vice versa). In a multitarget situation (3 or more targets), it should be used to enhance 
Coerthan Torment.

Patch 5.0 (2019-07-02):
- Now acquired at level 6 (previously level 18).
- The limit to HP absorbed has been removed.
- The requirement "Effect cannot be applied to damage over time" has been added.
- Effect duration has been reduced from 10 to 5 seconds.
- Recast time has been reduced from 50 to 45 seconds.
