An early testing version of dark mode has been enabled as a desktop skin option for logged-in users. To enable it, go to Special:Preferences, and under the "Gadgets" tab, check both "darkMode" options. An icon to toggle dark mode will then appear in the top bar once you save the preferences. Defiance is an action unlocked at level 10. It is available for Marauder / Warrior.

- This action is Marauder and Warrior's "tank stance".
- When used this, the ability changes into Release Defiance.

Patch 6.3 (2023-01-10):
- Recast time has been reduced from 3 to 2 seconds.
- Now becomes Release Defiance when used.
Patch 6.1 (2022-04-12): Recast time has been reduced from 10 to 3 seconds.
Patch 5.0 (2019-07-02):
- Now acquired by the marauder class.
- Now acquired at level 10 (previously level 30).
- Removed the following: "Increases maximum HP by 25%, while reducing damage dealt by 20%. Increases own HP recovery via healing magic by 20%" and "Using certain actions while under the effect of Defiance will increase your Beast Gauge, increasing parry rate to a maximum of 10%. The Beast Gauge returns to 0 when Defiance ends. Cannot be used with Deliverance. Shares a recast timer with Deliverance."
Patch 4.25 (2018-03-12): Fixed an issue wherein using this action followed by Inner Release guaranteed that Equilibrium restored critical HP.
Patch 4.05 (2017-07-17): The Beast Gauge will no longer be halved when Deliverance is executed while under the effect of Defiance.
Patch 4.0 (2017-06-20):
- Reduction to own damage dealt has been changed from 25% to 20%.
- No longer increases chance to hit.
- Wrath effects have been replaced with Beast Gauge effects while using Defiance.
Patch 3.2 (2016-02-23): The amount of enmity generated has been increased.
Patch 2.3 (2014-07-08): The effects of Defiance will not be lost upon incapacitation.
Patch 2.1 (2013-12-17): While under the effect of Defiance, characters will now gain increased enmity, and HP recovered via curing magic is increased by 20%.
