Bane is an action unlocked by questing at level 30. It is available for Arcanist / Summoner.

  • SHB.png Patch 5.1 (2019-10-29):
    • No longer spreads the Ruination status effect to nearby targets.
    • The additional effect of "Afflicts target with Bio III and Miasma III" has been added.
  • SHB.png Patch 5.0 (2019-07-02):
    • Now acquired by the summoner job.
    • Effect now also spreads a target's Ruination to nearby enemies.
    • Potency reduction has been changed from "20% for the second enemy, 40% for the third, 60% for the fourth, and 80% for all remaining enemies" to "60% for all remaining enemies."
    • The additional effect "Aethertrail Attunement" has been removed.
    • Aether Gauge cost has been removed.
  • SB.png Patch 4.1 (2017-10-10): Fixed an issue wherein having a certain Direct Hit value would increase the damage over time effect spread by this action.

    • Potency is now reduced by 20% for the second enemy, 40% for the third, 60% for the fourth, and 80% for all remaining enemies.
    • The additional effect "Increases Faerie Gauge by 10" has been added.
  • HW.png Patch 3.21 (2016-03-09): The damage calculations of Bio, Bio II, and Miasma spread by Bane will now be affected by the beneficial and detrimental effects of targets (PvP only).
  • ARR.png Patch 2.1 (2013-12-17): The range of effect has been increased from 5y to 8y. Also, when a target's Bio, Bio II, and Miasma are spread to nearby enemies, their durations will not be reset if longer than the original effect duration.
