— In-game description

Surecast is an action unlocked at level 44. It is available for Magical Ranged DPS and Healer.

Notes

Not all knockback and draw-in effects can be prevented. In some newer duties, these will be indicated with purple knockback telegraphs.

This action also prevents   Rescue from dragging the player.

The analogous anti-knockback ability for other roles (Tank, Physical Ranged and Melee Disciples of War) is   Arm's Length.

History

• Patch 5.0 (2019-07-02):
  • Recast time has been increased from 30 to 120 seconds.
  • Effect duration has been increased from 5 to 6 seconds.
• Patch 4.1 (2017-10-10):
  • The effect "next spell is cast without interruption" has been changed to "Spells can be cast without interruption."
  • The additional effect "nullifies knockback and draw-in effects" has been changed to "nullifies most knockback and draw-in effects."
  • Duration reduced from 10 to 5 seconds.
• Patch 4.0 (2017-06-20):
  • Changed to a role action, accessible by all healer and magical ranged DPS classes.
  • Now acquired at level 44 (previously level 8).
  • The additional effect "nullifies knockback and draw-in effects" has been added.
• Patch 3.2 (2016-02-23): Fixed an issue wherein the effect would not apply to the arcanist action "  Summon," "  Summon II," as well as the summoner action "  Summon III."
