The XIIth Imperial Legion has been the Legion in charge of Gyr Abania following its occupation. This Legion stands far and above the others in terms of its power and savagery and brutality. Though control of the region was temporarily given to the VIth Imperial Legion due to the XIIth being called back to Garlemald to help handle the war of succession, control was returned to the XIIth upon the uprising orchestrated by Kaien Rijin quickly being crushed and the king of Doma being killed. Following this, Zenos yae Galvus placed a viceroy in control, then moved the bulk of the Legion to Ala Mhigo to stomp out another rising rebellion.
Notable Members
- Zenos yae Galvus: Emperor Varis' firstborn and heir to the Garlean throne. Zenos was a prodigy who effortlessly excelled in both academic and martial fields. These selfsame gifts however, consigned him to a life of solitude. He found his peers tiresome and his elders unreliable, and soon came to despise them all. Amidst the ennui of his existence, there was one thing that could quicken his pulse: the hunt. This all-consuming predilection persisted even when he assumed command, and he did not allow something so trivial as duty to obstruct the fulfillment of his craving. He found the worthiest of opponents in the Warrior of Light.
- Fordola rem Lupis: Born to a merchant family, Fordola was blessed with a loving family. For their daughter's future, they chose obedience to the Empire, and enjoyed a life of comfort. to other Ala Mhigans, they were nothing more than traitors. One day, a hale of rocks were thrown, and her father was killed defending her. That day, her childhood ended, and she grew keenly aware of her place. She joined the military in the hope that all Ala Mhigans might gain acceptance.
- Yotsuyu goe Brutus: Orphaned as a child, Yotsuyu was taken in by her abusive aunt and uncle, who only grew more unpleasant after the birth of their son, Asahi. She was put to work at a young age, performing back breaking labor with naught but insults as reward. Later, she was married off to a suitor twice her age, who beat her freely. Luckily, he passed away a few years later, but she was sold off as a courtesan to pay his debts. It was then that she took her life into her own hands and became an imperial spy.
- Asahi sas Brutus: Born Asahi Naeuri, this proud young Hyur was the adoptive brother to Yotsuyu. Growing up in Doma, he showed great promise in school and was given the chance to study at the Magitek Academy in Garlemald. Upon graduating, he joined the military and rose through the ranks by his virtue as a warrior and diplomat both. Ardently devoted to Zenos, he would stop at nothing to carry out his lord's wishes, and even came to harbor an interest in "the hunt". He achieved the highest rank attainable by provincial citizens by age twenty seven.
