— In-game description

Phantom Flurry is an action unlocked at level 1. It is available for Blue Mage.

Flavor Text

A technique employed by Suzaku, wherein the auspice unleashes a swift series of blurring kicks. The “phantom” half of the name is a somewhat nebulous reference to a constellation in Far Eastern astrology, the sign of which is said to bring good fortune in all matters...except that of matrimony.

Duties

Enemy Level Location
Suzaku 70 Dungeon creature Hells' Kier

Tips

  • This action is designed to be channeled (used without moving) for as long as possible, then executed again before it expires to execute the finisher.
    • Upon initial execution, a Phantom Flurry buff is granted with a duration of six seconds. This timer may help in knowing when to execute this action again for its finisher.
  • This ability hits six times if the finisher is not executed – once every second after execution, and once upon expiration of the Phantom Flurry buff. If fully channeled without the final hit, the total potency of this action is 1200.
    • Because one more hit from channelling is done upon expiration of the buff, it is impossible to hit six times before the finisher. As such, if the finisher is used at the last second, the total potency of this action is 1600.
    • The finisher will not be automatically executed upon the Phantom Flurry buff expiring. Failure to execute this action again will result in the finisher being lost.
  • The damage-over-time effect of Phantom Flurry continues even after the effect of Waxing Nocturne changes to Waning Nocturne.
    • Note that Waning Nocturne will prevent the blue mage from using the final hit, however.
