As legend tells it, a hideous monster with the head of a pumpkin once descended upon the realm during All Saints' Wake, leading a host of ghastly ghouls in what was known as the "Night of Devilry." Thus, the pumpkinhead costume is one of the most popular during this season, when city streets become crowded with bestial and demonic visages. Delion, editor in chief of The Thavnairian Truth, has suggested that lurking among the costumed revelers are monsters true, who take this chance to spin mischief and mayhem to their wicked hearts' content. Naturally, such a theory is believed by few, if any—aside from its creator.
