* J'olhmyn seems uncertain of how to proceed.

* After some deliberation, the group decides to leave searching for Alpa to the Kojin of the Blue, that you might track down the villain before he kidnaps another innocent to obtain the Philosopher's Fin. However, one more problem presents itself: given his lax standards for the Three Wonders, it is unclear whether Jaab will make a Namazu of Yuzuka Manor or one from Dhoro Iloh his next target. To cover more ground, you and Kabuto agree to split up with the two Miqo'te and speak with Seigetsu the Enlightened whilst they investigate the situation in Yanxia.

* As expected, you find Seigetsu the Enlightened at Dhoro Iloh. It transpires that a performance based on the “Grey Kings of Orient” carol is planned for the Seven Hundred Seventy-Seven's next festival activity, and they have been spreading word of it far and wide. Most interestingly, the production includes the role of “philosopher-king” and─though there clearly was significant disagreement on the subject─said role has long since been assigned to Gyorei. Judging that the temptation of a Namazu called “philosopher-king” would be irresistible to Nhaza'a, you conclude that Gyorei will almost certainly be his next target. Unfortunately, she is currently away from Dhoro Iloh on an errand, so you can only hope to catch up to her before Nhaza'a does.

* You search for Gyorei at the Dawn Throne, but are unable to reach her before Nhaza'a unceremoniously stuffs her in a barrel. Seeing your approach, he hastily kicks said barrel over the edge and into the waters below, jumping down and swiftly disappearing after it.

* Unsure what to do now, you consult with J'olhmyn via linkpearl. She proposes that you attempt to rout Nhaza'a in Kugane, where the thief will almost certainly be heading to pass off his faux Three Wonders on an unsuspecting maiden or hopeful suitor. Though you are eager to make it back to the port city before Nhaza'a does, you agree to first report back to Seigetsu the Enlightened, lest he have any wisdom to offer.

* Gyoshin relates the woeful tale of Gyorei's capture to Seigetsu the Enlightened, and is on the point of joining your rescue operation when his wiser compatriot points out that he, unprepared for battle as he is, would likely not be of much use. Thus you part from the two Namazu, Seigetsu the Enlightened vowing to design an “infallible” stratagem to defeat Nhaza'a Jaab before the pair meets you in Kugane.

Quest Battles, also known as Solo Instances, are a type of single-player duty associated with some quests. The player will be transported to an instanced area to complete one or a series of battles against enemies and bosses. Completing these is required to progress with the quest. One or more non-playable characters (NPCs) usually assist the player in combat but are not part of a party. From patch 4.4 onwards, some quest battles will have the player control an NPC instead of their character. The NPC usually represents a specific job and has a very simplified set of actions to use that are based on the regular job actions.

Quest battles can be identified if the quest NPC has a curtain of light around them. Upon talking to them, the player will be given a prompt to enter the quest battle. The prompt will display the required level, level sync, and item level sync (if applicable) of the duty. It is not possible to complete these with an Unrestricted Party (unsync) like most multiplayer duties.

Quest battles are designed to be relatively easy to complete as not to impede story progression. However, if the player fails, they will be given the options to lower the difficulty to "Easy" or "Very Easy", which will each give an Echo buff, increasing their damage dealt, HP, and healing by 50% on Easy and 100% on Very Easy. In New Game Plus, these options are available from the first attempt. New Game Plus is the only way to repeat quest battles, although some quests are not part of it and can only be repeated on a new character.

SceptileTheKing: added pilgrim's traverse to the deep dungeon leveling list

Guides
This will be a general rundown of ways to optimize experience per hour, in order to expedite the leveling process. However, it is important that efficiency should not take precedence over fun. If you don't find these practices enjoyable, please take whatever methods will help you avoid burnout.

<big>Do not fall behind on Class and Job Quests! Not only are they easy EXP, but they unlock critical new Actions for your Job and have free gear!</big>

Bonuses
Transcluded from Experience:

Prior to Level 15
Battlecraft Leves, FATEs and your class Hunting Log should get you to 15 in fairly short order (a couple of hours, tops). Leverage as many of the above bonuses as you can.
Once you hit 15 you can queue dungeon, and level 16 will allow you to use dutyroulette.

Dailies
*dutyroulettes with emphasis on:
**dutyroulette
**dutyroulette
**dutyroulette
*Others that can be worthwhile depending on queue times:
**dutyroulette (this is pvp)
**dutyroulette
**dutyroulette
*Roulettes to be avoided for exp EXP:
**dutyroulette
**dutyroulette

While queuing, participating in level-appropriate FATEs and completing one-time Hunting Logs will allow you to use your downtime. Prior to level 60 Battlecraft Leves are available. After 60, Stormblood and later zones have an EXP Up mechanic for FATEs. Beginning with Shadowbringers, players also have the Shared FATE system to work on.

*daily become available beginning at level 41. Each expansion has a different set of allied societies oriented towards different playstyles. You can complete 12 allied society quests a day, but only 3 from any particular allied society NPC. A Realm Reborn allied societies have more than one quest-giver NPC, but later allied societies do not.

*The Hunt, and its later expansion versions, has both daily and weekly bills that offer some EXP. Generally quick and easy to do while waiting in a queue.

Weeklies
* Challenge Logs unlocked with a level 15 quest.
* Wondrous Tails unlocked with a level 60 quest.
*Elite Marks have bills that are weekly for B-ranks. The EXP for the weekly is terrible so they are primarily done for hunt currency.

Next Steps
Once you have exhausted all of your repeatable options, the fastest EXP per hour is going to be your highest available leveling dungeon. Leveling dungeons are those whose level doesn't end in a 0 (plus dungeon). As an example, when you get to level 50 run the level 47 dungeon, dungeon, until you can switch to the level 51 dungeon, dungeon. Level-cap dungeons (50/60/70/80) are designed to dispense Allagan Tomestones and loot to help players gear themselves, and not for Experience.

Alternatives are available when queue times are very long (15 minutes or more, common during off-hours and for DPS):
ddungeons
*ddungeon (falls off hard after level 60)
*ddungeon (requires level 61+, falls off at 70)
*ddungeon (requires level 81+, falls off at 90)
*ddungeon (requires level 91+)

Field Operations
*bsf and bsf (requires 71+, falls off in the 80s)

*eureka does not provide regular exp PvE Experience like Bozja does. It has its own internal leveling system (eurekaexp Elemental EXP) and is primarily for completing Stormblood relic Eurekan Weapons and Eurekan Gear.
-----
Additional, last-ditch options (for horrifically long queues) that are designed to be slower than human players include:

Squadrons
Command Missions: A specific subset of dungeons up to level 57 (for leveling).

The Duty Support System
A Realm Reborn through post-Heavensward Main Scenario dungeons only, as of patch 6.3.

The Trust System
All Shadowbringers, Endwalker, and Dawntrail Main Scenario dungeons, covering levels 71 - 100.

Gear
<big><b>Leveling Gear Guide</b></big>
The very first starter gear set every player should get is the Brand-new Armor from the Hall of the Novice training. Even if you scoff at tutorials, the +30% exp Experience from the Brand-new Ring is worth it.

The primary source of gear between level 15 and 50 will be Dungeon drops. For leveling dungeons, you are guaranteed one piece of gear for your class at the end of the dungeon. It drops directly into your inventory, and must be a piece you do not already have. This gear is dungeon rarity and has stats like HQ High Quality white (crafted) gear. There is a new dungeon set in each leveling dungeon.

Once you hit level 50 you can begin using Poetics Poetics tomestone gear. This was the last, best purchasable gear from that expansion's endgame. It lets you skip the gear treadmill and will last 5 levels into the next expansion.

Additionally, completion of your Job Quests (and later, Role Quests) nets you a passable set of Artifact Armor. These sets are also tomestone rarity and are a decent start if you don't have Poetics Poetics gear yet.

If you are flush with gil Gil, you can procure crafted gear from the Market Board. Be sure to only purchase HQ High Quality gear as Normal Quality has a 10% stat penalty. This may not sound like much, but it's enough that level 56 NQ gear will be worse than level 50 Poetics Poetics gear! So don't bother with NQ after level 50.
Strategy
The Manipulator
This fight requires heavy DPS pushing, as the fight has five phases and a hard enrage timer of 13 minutes and 10 seconds. Pushing DPS harder will get players through the various phases faster, leaving more time to deal with the boss before the enrage.

The fight consists of destroying the Manipulator's legs and attacking the boss in between phases. Players can destroy the legs in any order, but as soon as one leg is destroyed, the legs will no longer be targetable and any leg that has received damage up to that point will be healed.

Note: When attempting this fight solo, upon successfully attacking the main boss after destroying the third leg to enter Phase 4, you will be immediately be provided with both of the Judgement Nisi mechanic de-buffs as the sole player which will kill you shortly after with Final Sentence. The final leg must quickly be destroyed. Pooling resources is recommended. Once the last leg is destroyed, the phase will end, and the mechanic will fall off, allowing a simple DPS burn of the final targeting of the main boss.

Phase 1
*Hydrothermal Missile: High damage AoE cleave that targets the player with the highest enmity. This attack will continue throughout the fight at set intervals, so tanks should be sure to hold enmity at all times and healers should be ready to mitigate the damage.

*Discoid: One player will be marked with a blue orb above their head, and several orbs will spawn randomly from any of the intercardinals around the arena and slowly move into the arena towards the marked player. Players need to intercept these, as they deal high damage to anyone they touch.

*Seed of the Sky: Four AoEs will spawn under random players and appear in sets of two. Players simply need to avoid these. These will drop randomly as well, so players need to be aware of their surroundings.

*Perpetual Ray: This attack targets a random player, deals high damage and drains MP from whoever is hit. From time to time, players will note the boss's legs emit a jet of steam. this indicates which leg is about to cast Perpetual Ray. Players can stun this attack to mitigate damage and prevent the attack from draining MP as well. This needs to be done within a few seconds of the leg emitting steam, otherwise the attack will fire with its full effect.

*Quarantine: The boss will send the off tank and one random DPS into a small, separate arena to fight against a Panzer Doll. The doll will attack and slowly leave stacks of Blunt Resistance Down debuffs on its target. After defeating it, the players are returned to the fight. if the off tank is dead, another random player will be sent instead.

After the leg is shattered, the boss will be briefly targetable, and will cast Mortal Revolution, a raid-wide attack that deals high damage. Mitigate and heal through.

While casting Mortal Revolution, the boss will no longer be targetable, and players must continue to destroy the boss's legs.

Phase 2
This phase is similar to the first phase, with mechanics being handled in a similar manner as the first phase, however Discoid has been taken out of the boss's rotation, in its place is a new attack:

*Carnage: One player will be targeted with 5 tethers that spawn randomly around the arena. Of the five tethers, only three of them will fire Diffused Laser, the other two will simply not fire. Players will need to intercept these tethers, so the player who is targeted should move into the hitbox of the leg that is being targeted so other players can take the tethers. If the targeted player is killed by the Diffused Laser, the boss gets a permanent stacking buff Damage Up buff. Intercepting players killed by this attack do not grant the boss this buff.

*Diffused Laser: This attack will explode on the player in a small AoE. Be sure to avoid overlapping with other players.

The attacks will come out in a similar rotation to the first phase, the only aspect that players can find challenging is dealing with Carnage at the same time as Quarantine. Note: if the player targeted for Carnage is a tank, they can easily tank all three lasers with some mitigation. Similarly to the previous phase, upon shattering the leg, the boss will be targetable, cast Mortal Revolution, and be un-targetable again.

Phase 3
This phase repeats mechanics from phase 2 again, this time removing Quarantine and summoning ads instead.

*Straf Doll: Summoned directly to the middle of the arena, this ad should be picked up by the off tank and pulled to the party to be burned down. This doll cleaves its target and gives it a stacking Slash Resist Down debuff. After 30 seconds, the doll will begin to cast Wirbelwind, draining all MP from the raid.

*Jagd Doll: Three Jagd Dolls will spawn around the arena to the east, west and south. These dolls have low HP and deal low damage. They constantly pulse an attack that gives stacking Luminous Aetheroplasm debuffs in a small area around them. If a player gets four stacks of the debuff, they will explode and wipe the raid. if the Jagd Dolls get too close to the Straf Doll, they will tether and use Reducible Complexity, exploding and dealing damage to the raid equal to their current HP. If they are killed without being tethered to the Straf Doll, they will respawn with full HP.

To deal with the ads, players will need to bring the Jagd Dolls to the Straf Doll when they are at 10% health or less in order to defeat them without dealing massive damage to the raid. Players will also need to keep an eye on the Straf Doll to make sure they are ready to cast MP-restoring abilities if the doll is able to cast Wirbelwind so as not to limit the damage and healing of the party. The doll will also stop using its cleave attack when the boss tethers a player with Carnage.

Players will need to shatter the leg quickly at this point, as the boss has the potential to enter an enrage in this phase, and a second wave of enemies will spawn, slowing down the fight. If players can shatter the leg quickly enough, the second wave of ads will also not spawn.

After the third leg is shattered, players can attack the boss once again. Be aware however, that the Mortal Revolution in this phase will hit a little harder.

Phase 4
All mechanics other than Quarantine will repeat here as well as a new ability:

*Judgment Nisi: Two players are debuffed, one with a red debuff, one with blue. The debuff lasts 6 seconds per stack and has 5 stacks. The debuff deals moderate damage and lasts 30 seconds total. The debuff spreads by touch. Players must never get the red and blue debuff at the same time, as that would result in instant death.

This debuff is required for an upcoming mechanic called Royal Pentacle. The debuff needs to be passed back and forth between players to handle the mechanic as intended. There is another popular method to handle this debuff mechanic, which will be covered in the next phase.

Once again, attack the boss after shattering the final leg, preparing as well to mitigate and heal through the Mortal Revolution for this phase, which hits quite hard.

Phase 5
In this final phase, mechanics will once again repeat, however some attacks will have additional mechanics to them:

*Carnage Zero: Similar to Carnage, players will still be hit with lasers, however there is no tether, and the attacks will randomly target three players. The attack will still explode in an AoE, so players need to spread out and be ready to move.

*Fracture: An additional mechanic to Discoid, the final orb that spawns will be large and still move towards the targeted player. This orb needs to be mitigated by all players other than the main tank. This orb also debuffs anyone it touches with a Vulnerability Up debuff.

*Royal Pentacle: 6 crystals will spawn around the arena randomly, either red or blue. Players with the matching Nisi debuff will have to run through the correct color crystal to destroy it. Players without the debuff or the debuff of the wrong color will die upon exploding the crystals. The crystals will explode if not taken care of within 20 seconds. The crystals will spawn three times in this phase.

This mechanic has two popular ways to handle. The intended method, juggling the debuffs and taking care of the crystals as they spawn. Another method (dubbed the "sacrifice" method) is an easier way to handle this mechanic.

If players are using the "sacrifice" method, in phase three, simply move the players debuffed away from the party and let the debuffs fade. This also requires players to save the level 3 Limit Break for healers, meaning DPS need to push phases a little harder to make up for the lack of a DPS Limit Break. Players will also need to plan in advance what players will sacrifice themselves to destroy the crystals.

In the final phase, once crystals have started to spawn, it is recommended that players wait for at least one GCD (Global Cool Down) timer to refresh before destroying the crystals to make sure they have spawned in and are tangible. Three players will then use their Sprint ability to run through two crystals of any color. When the second round of crystals spawn, the main tank will use their invulnerability skill to mitigate Perpetual Ray, then three more players will run through two crystals. The remaining healer will then use their level 3 Limit Break skill to revive and heal the entire raid. Once the third set of crystals spawn, the fight enters a burn phase, with players pumping out as much DPS as possible to destroy the boss before the crystals explode.

During this, players will need to be avoiding AoEs and other mechanics, as well as taking care of a final spawn of Straf Dolls and Jagd Dolls. these mechanics have not changed and can be handled as before.

Whichever method the party decides on, the mechanics for the fight will repeat from Carnage Zero onwards, until the boss enrages. Players must defeat the boss before then, otherwise the party will wipe.
Journal
*Eager to rendezvous with your comrades, Y'shtola sets off for Eulmore at a brisk pace, leaving you trailing in her wake.

*You eventually catch up with Y'shtola at the aetheryte plaza, and together walk the last few steps to rejoin your assembled friends.

*Your comrades listen intently as you recount your recent adventure in the depths, their faces turning grim at the revelation that Elidibus is a primal. Even as you ponder what your foe may do next, another starshower appears in the skies over Eulmore, this time accompanied by an illusion of Amaurot... Yet it does not end there, for you are promptly set upon by spectral warriors who emerge from arcane rings resembling those conjured in the Exarch's summoning rituals. Whatever the reason for this uncanny similarity, all agree that you must take the battle elsewhere lest innocents fall into harm's way. To that end, you resolve to board a waiting airship and fly for the Crystarium.
** ※To enlist your companion NPCs for this duty, speak with them near the entrance or access Duty Support via the main menu. Use the Duty Finder if you wish to complete the instance alongside fellow players.

*Not long into your flight, the airship sustains heavy damage and you are forced to land in the wastes of Amh Araeng. Wings thus clipped, you have no choice but to make your way back to the Crystarium on foot, with spectral foes dogging your every step. Though your route proves to be unexpectedly circuitous, aided by many a friend made during your time in Norvrandt, you finally emerge in the familiar environs of Lakeland.

*So near and yet so far. But a short distance from the Crystarium, you are surrounded by an army of spectral warriors, halting your party's breathless advance. In an oft-repeated scene, your comrades duly volunteer to hold the enemy at bay while you alone press on to your destination, and so you leave them. As you plunge through the forest, you stumble upon the prostrate forms of the Exarch and Beq Lugg, who have apparently escaped a close encounter with Elidibus. In rueful tones, they inform you that the Ascian has stolen the Exarch's spirit vessel─and has thus acquired the means to control the Crystal Tower. Despite his fast-advancing crystallization, the Exarch expresses his determination to help you to put a stop to Elidibus's plot, and fixes his gaze upon the tower.

*Nearing the Crystarium, the Exarch begs leave to make a brief stop at the Accensor Gate, hoping to send guards to Beq Lugg's aid.

*While the Exarch is issuing instructions, Lyna arrives to take charge of the situation in the Crystarium. Knowing all too well what is at stake, the two share a brief but heartfelt moment, and then you and the Exarch forge on towards the city.

*At the Exedra, the Exarch observes with satisfaction that the ward he and Beq Lugg raised over the tower still holds. Within awaits your foe, made mighty by the hopes of the countless heroes he has summoned from other reflections. At a word from you, the Exarch will lift the ward and open the way to your reckoning with Elidibus. See that you are ready.
Dialogue
Accepting the Quest
Y'shtola: Right ─ no more musing. We have taken far too long as it is.
Y'shtola: Our friends await us in Eulmore, yes? Let us hurry and join them.

Optional dialogue
In Eulmore
Dulia-Chai: Oh, if it isn't [Forename]! I confess, I'm not entirely sure what's going on, but with you and your friends here, I'm sure it will all be all right in the end!

Chai-Nuzz: Yes, people have been talking about little else of late...

Wrenden: We have been apprised of the situation. Suffice it to say, we can ill afford to lose able-bodied citizens during this vital period of rebuilding.

Thancred: Ah, there you are. Eventful trip?

Urianger: 'Tis my pleasure to report that we accomplished our task without further bouts of faintness ─ a feat we attribute to Tataru's most generous gift.

Ryne: We were starting to worry ─ but I see we shouldn't have. No?

Alisaie: You certainly took your time. Did something happen?

Alphinaud: So the rumors have reached this far...

Speak with Y'shtola in Eulmore
Y'shtola: It appears we are fashionably late.
Y'shtola: Come. Our tale will not wait.

(Optional)
Y'shtola: This will be my first time meeting Master Chai in his capacity as mayor. The fellow behind him is his advisor, I take it─Wrenden.

Speak with Chai-Nuzz
Y'shtola: Forgive us our lateness.
Y'shtola: Master Chai, my congratulations on your appointment. By all accounts, you are a capable mayor.
Chai-Nuzz: Oh, I have capable friends, my lady. I must say, it's good to see you looking hale and whole again.
Y'shtola: The credit for that lies with my own capable friend, without whom I might never have escaped my abductor.
Thancred: A primal... I suppose that would explain why Elidibus has been fostering faith in the Warrior of Light.
Thancred: While you were enjoying your audience with the wandering heart of Zodiark, we were busy dispatching the last of the black-masked Ascians. A task which proved almost insultingly easy.
Thancred: Formidable though we undoubtedly are, they were obviously sent to provide encouragement for budding heroes. One cannot help but wonder how many times the ploy has been used before...
Alphinaud: Master Chai, you mentioned that the people of Khlousia are similarly enamored of the Warrior of Light.
Chai-Nuzz: Indeed. Though it's hardly surprising given the state of the world. Many are still struggling to find a purpose, and it's only natural that they should take comfort in the tales.
Alphinaud: Then the fever has spread to every corner of Norvrandt.
Alphinaud: We may have dealt with his black-masked minions, but it is plain Elidibus has yet to show his hand.
Dulia-Chai: Oh my, what a spectacular sky!

Alisaie: Another starshower...
Ryne: Wait, is that...
Ryne: ...Amaurot?

Hear...Feel...Think
Stupefied Citizen: Did you hear that? That voice, calling out...
Stunned Citizen: No, I didn't hear anything. But...
Stunned Citizen: Why do I feel so... Like I've lost something dear to me...

Alphinaud: Does Elidibus seek to awaken more people to the Echo with clearer visions of the Final Days?
Spectral Swordsman: In the name...of the Light...I shall vanquish...the Darkness...
Spectral Swordsman: I shall deliver the world from its doom!
Thancred: And who might you be?
Alisaie: Whoever they are, they've come for our heads!
Alisaie: No you don't!
Y'shtola: They are not of flesh and blood.
Urianger: I know this magick.
Urianger: The rings are like unto those that the Exarch did employ in our summoning.
Thancred: Are you saying the Exarch is summoning them?
Urianger: Nay. Yet the similarity can be no mere coincidence...
Ryne: Should we make a stand here? Or retreat to the Crystarium?
Y'shtola: The aether churns around us. More of them will appear ere long.
Y'shtola: To stay would only place innocents in harm's way. We must fight this battle elsewhere.
Chai-Nuzz: Wait!
Chai-Nuzz: Take one of our airships! You can decide what to do on your flight to the Crystarium!
Y'shtola: You are a capable leader in your own right, Master Chai. The citizens of Eulmore chose well.
Alphinaud: It's settled, then. To the airship!

Enter the Heroes' Gauntlet
Optional dialogue before entering
Stupefied Citizen: Wh-Who were those ghostly figures? W-Were they the ones talking inside my head?

Stunned Citizen: When the stars were raining down, I thought I saw a city in the sky. But then the fighting broke out, and when I looked again, it was gone...
Stunned Citizen: Did you see it too? It was so beautiful! So heartbreakingly beautiful...

Dulia-Chai: I don't know what this sky portends, but I do know it can't be good.
Dulia-Chai: So please take care, and return to us safe and sound.

Chai-Nuzz: What are you still doing here!? To the airship with you!
Chai-Nuzz: You can thank me later!

Wrenden: We will see that order is restored in the city. Go now, and do not look back.

After the dungeon
Ryne: I think that's the last of them...
Thancred: Apparently, even they have limits. Nevertheless, we should remain vigilant.
Alisaie: Urianger, something occurred to me while we were fighting. These enemies...
Urianger:...Are heroes hailing from other shards, summoned hither to deliver this world from its doom.
Urianger: Scant moments after the starshower did they appear ─ as yet more souls were inspired to walk the hero's path, no doubt.
Urianger: Thus did hopes for salvation of realms near and far resonate and converge...lending still greater strength unto our adversary.
Alisaie: So that's Elidibus's game. But first things first: if the rings are the same as the Exarch's, then we need to ask him how that's possible.
Alphinaud: The Crystarium is close. Let us press on.
Y'shtola: They come!
Thancred: So near and yet so far.
Ryne: “In the chaos of conflict, one can always find an opening to exploit.”
Thancred: Whoever taught you that is a wise man indeed. And good with a gunblade. But yes, I daresay we can create an opening wide enough for at least one of us to slip through.
Thancred: That being you, of course─though others are welcome to follow in your wake. Ryne and I will keep our guests occupied.
Y'shtola: Brave and selfless as ever. Yet the two of you may struggle to fool our foes, aetherically sensitive as they are.
Y'shtola: Had you a comrade who could use destructive magicks to wreak havoc upon the ambient aether, on the other hand...
Urianger: Very well, I too shall assist in the diversionary effort.
Alisaie: Oh, not this old dance again... Yes. Obviously, I'll stay and fight.
Alisaie: Alphinaud! I'm about to do a great many stupid and reckless things. Watch my back, would you?
Alphinaud: And there you have it. Take care of yourself, my friend.<br>
What will you say?
> Make it a nice big opening, eh!?
Ryne: We'll do our best.
> You don't have enough lives for this...
Y'shtola: Rest assured I have no intention of expending any of mine this day.
> Use your magic sparingly, do you hear?
Alphinaud: I shall not overexert myself without good reason. As for the others... <br>
Alisaie: Finished? Then let's begin!

A short while earlier, in the Ocular...
Crystal Exarch: ...'Tis done.
Beq Lugg: Let me see! Let me see!
Beq Lugg: Yes! Your memories are preserved safely within! We've done it! We've done it at last!
Crystal Exarch: I have inspected the other vessels. They are all ready to receive of our friends' memories.
Beq Lugg: Excellent, excellent!
Beq Lugg: I shall have my familiars bear word to them at once!
Crystal Exarch: Elidibus...
Elidibus: It was not until I observed the battle between Emet-Selch and the Warrior of Darkness that I realized what I must do.
Elidibus: I will summon heroes from other worlds unto the First, just as you did.
Elidibus: Their presence shall serve to empower me─granting me the strength to crush my enemy.
Crystal Exarch: Though it pains me to disappoint you, I feel compelled to explain that the magick in question requires no small amount of preparation.
Elidibus: Ah, but you assume I require my champions to be summoned in their entirety. I do not. Their souls needn't even be whole.
Elidibus: My purpose requires no more than their burning desire to vanquish evil.
Elidibus: This I shall sear upon the aether, raising thereby an army of phantom heroes, to whom I shall whisper, as I have to so many over the ages...
Elidibus: “Here lies darkness. It must be destroyed.”
Crystal Exarch: And you expect me to cooperate?
Elidibus: I do not require your cooperation. Your death will suffice. The magick, I shall have from your corpse.
Beq Lugg: Go, Lugus!
Beq Lugg: We must flee!
Elidibus: ...But what is this?
???: Argh... Unnngh...
Crystal Exarch: My friend... How did you...?
Crystal Exarch: No matter... Elidibus... He took us unawares...
Beq Lugg: It was all we could do...to raise a ward to hinder his steps... And so we fled...
Beq Lugg: But he took it... The vessel with the Exarch's memories...
Beq Lugg: Forgive me... Forgive me...
Crystal Exarch: The vessel bears not only my memories, but my blood─the blood of Allagan royalty...granting him the means to control the tower.
Crystal Exarch: With it, he has performed I know not how many summonings, calling forth heroes from across the rift.
Crystal Exarch: And as you can see, the burden upon the tower is beginning to tell...<br>
What will you say?
> Leave him to me.
Crystal Exarch: No. I won't let you go alone. Not this time.
> I'm just glad you're alive. Make sure you stay that way.
Crystal Exarch: If you mean to face him alone, I will not allow it. Not this time.<br>
Crystal Exarch: Elidibus has exploited the people's nobility. Twisted their purest intentions for terrible ends.
Crystal Exarch: And I cannot let it stand. As Exarch, it is my duty to protect them. To defend their hopes and dreams.
Crystal Exarch: So I'm going to the Crystal Tower, with or without your blessing─though I would rather it were with.
Crystal Exarch: Thank you.
Beq Lugg: I'd join you...but I would only be a burden. Better that I remain here with my gremlins...
Crystal Exarch: I shall send help. Stay strong, my friend, and take heart.
Crystal Exarch: By binding Elidibus within the tower, we have done more than simply delay him.
Crystal Exarch: Much like our adversary, I am not wont to show my hand prematurely. But the time has come to bring my strongest card to bear.
Crystal Exarch: To the tower!

Speak with the Crystal Exarch
Crystal Exarch: With your permission, I would make a brief stop at Accensor Gate ─ just long enough to send the guard to Beq Lugg's aid, you understand.
Crystal Exarch: Were it not for them, we would never have escaped Elidibus, much less with the spirit vessels.
Crystal Exarch: Though mine fell into our foe's clutches, Beq Lugg gathered up the rest at great risk to themself.
Crystal Exarch: I must see that they are safe before we press on. Enough good people have given their lives that I might fulfill my duty.

Speak with the nervous guard
Nervous Guard: W-Warrior of Darkness! Exarch! Forgive us this paltry greeting. We were not notified of your coming!
Crystal Exarch: It wasn't planned. I need you to assemble a rescue party.
Crystal Exarch: Our friend Beq Lugg lies wounded in a clearing to the west. Pray go to their aid with all haste.
Nervous Guard: At once, my lord! M-May I ask how they came to harm?
Nervous Guard: There've been reports of enemies in our midst ─ specters who appeared after the starshower. Do they have something to do with it?
Crystal Exarch: Yes. The man who attacked Beq Lugg is also responsible for the starshower and the appearance of the specters.
Crystal Exarch: I have no time to explain, but know that the individual in question does not seek to do indiscriminate harm. If you do not bar his servants' path, they will not turn on you.
Crystal Exarch: You are to leave this foe to us, understood? Meanwhile, I ask that you alert the rest of the guard, and focus on maintaining calm in the city.
???: Understood.
Crystal Exarch: Lyna!
Lyna: I shall take charge of matters in the city. Find Beq Lugg ─ now!
Lyna: “No time to explain”... Hmph.
Lyna: The graver the matter, the less inclined you are to speak of it. Even when it is plain for all to see─like what is happening to you.
Crystal Exarch: Lyna... This time there truly is no time.
Lyna: I know, my lord. Were matters otherwise, I believe you would even be willing to speak of your past if pressed.
Lyna: Yet I remain afraid to do so.
Lyna: Afraid that what I might learn would make a stranger of you.
Lyna: ...Forgive me. There is no time.<br>
What will you say?
> Perhaps a few words are in order.
Crystal Exarch: Indeed. Time must be made.
> We need to get going.
Crystal Exarch: I know, my friend. I know, just... grant me a moment. Please.<br>
Crystal Exarch: ...Lyna. Do you remember the time you got lost in the tower when you were little, and I searched for you hours on end?
Crystal Exarch: And the cake I baked for your tenth nameday. That hideous lump the good people of the Mean covered up with beautiful candles...
Crystal Exarch: And your hapless first encounter with the sin eaters as a guard. Afterwards, you threw yourself into your training, pretending nothing was wrong, though I could see the tears in your eyes...
Crystal Exarch: All these moments that we shared, all the feelings that accompanied them...they are as real as aught that came before, and nothing will ever change that ─ will ever change what we mean to one another.
Crystal Exarch: If I have made you worry, then I beg your forgiveness. Heavens know you deserve better.
Crystal Exarch: Through the darkest of times, you have kept faith with me, standing tall as a proud daughter of the Crystarium─as an example to us all. I count myself blessed to have had you in my life, and I want you to know that.
Lyna: Why do you speak so? As if this were our last meeting? Truly, you have a knack for making people worry.
Lyna: Besides, it is you who are an example to us all. You who have led us through countless trials. And you who will lead us through countless trials to come.
Lyna: So go, my lord. Do what you must.
...But take care.

Speak with the Crystal Exarch
Crystal Exarch: The ward holds. Excellent. Elidibus will still be within the tower.
Crystal Exarch: Our foe's sole purpose is to destroy you, and to that end he has summoned heroes from other reflections, empowering himself with their hope even as they occupy your comrades. You will not best him as easily as you did in the depths. By any measure, the odds are now stacked firmly in his favor.
Crystal Exarch: To wit, spare no preparation, my friend. I shall lift the ward only when you are ready.

Dialogue
Accepting the quest
Wayakkwe: Our comrade...you think he may have been struck down?
Wayakkwe: If he is wounded or worse, I should go to him...

Sphene: Wait! Please. It isn't safe and you still need rest. Would you stay with Milos and watch over Isadora for me?
Sphene: We will tend to your friend.

Wayakkwe: I... Thank you. Please be careful yourself.

Optional dialogue
Wayakkwe: Isadora and Milos had completed their applications to leave the dome and were practically out the door when...all this happened. We'll make sure they're taken care of the moment Isadora is ready to travel.

Sphene: That man, he... This is awful.

Radius Resident: Why...? Why is this happening...?

Speak with Krile (cutscene)
Krile: ...Isadora is going to be alright, then? I'm so glad.
Krile: I've just finished my ministrations here.
Krile: Our Oblivion comrade was beyond saving, I'm afraid...

Sphene: That brave soul. He gave his life to save another...

Radius Resident: He died protecting me... I don't understand why any of this is happening!
Radius Resident: That sentry was behaving normally, like any other. Then, all of a sudden, it...it tried to kill me!

Krile: Weapons or no, Calyx commanded them to commit murder...

Hopeful Oblivion Member: Is it over!? We came as soon as Wayakkwe sent word...

Sphene: I am sorry... By the time we arrived, it was already too late.

Anxious Oblivion Member: ...Then Geode could be in trouble, too. Once we have this radius locked down, we need to find him.

Sphene: But why...? Has something happened!?

Anxious Oblivion Member: Possibly. We're not sure what, but he stopped responding to our communications.

Hopeful Oblivion Member: We need to prioritize securing the residential sector, though, at least until we regain control over the sentries...

Sphene: Then we should search for Geode.

Krile: I agree. Since most Oblivion members have sworn off regulators, if our theory holds true, then they could be prime targets for the next attack.
Krile: Please do what you can to shepherd the residents to safety, but avoid the sentries at all costs.

Anxious Oblivion Member: Our thanks. Here, take these communicators.
Anxious Oblivion Member: We've made modifications to them to prevent Calyx from intercepting the signal, and have been using them to coordinate movements with allies in the vicinity.
Anxious Oblivion Member: Wayakkwe has one too, so I'll ask her to keep hailing Geode.

Hopeful Oblivion Member: Good luck, and stay safe!

Krile: Geode said he would sweep the surrounding area, so he shouldn't have ventured too far. Let's get going!

Optional Dialogue
Anxious Oblivion Member: Leave matters here to us. We'll see to our fallen comrade, and make sure no one else comes to harm.

Hopeful Oblivion Member: I hope you find Geode soon. I know he's probably saving people with one hand and fighting off threats with the other, but I can't help but worry...

Radius Resident: Pray thank your Milalla friend for me. I would still be a helpless mess if not for her encouragement...

Wayakkwe: Geode, are you there? Answer me, please!

Geode: I'm here. Sorry for the long silence─I've been busy.

Wayakkwe: You're alive! Thank the gods...
Wayakkwe: Where are you now!?

Geode: The radius next door. The lobby is secure.
Geode: I'll scout the second floor, then I'll join...
Geode: That dust...

Wayakkwe: “Dust”? What are you talking about? What's happening?

Geode: They're not just collecting souls. They're draining the bodies of corporeal aether.
Geode: The “dust” that we saw was all that was left of the victims. They must have modified the soul cells...
Geode: Shit!
Geode: <grunts>
Geode: Damn you!
Geode: You can't be here! You need to run─now!
Geode: A trap!?
Geode: Heh.
Geode: Take care of the others, eh?

Sphene: No sign of him so far. This way, maybe...?

Krile: Geode...!?

???: A shame. I had hoped to leave here with at least one more cell's worth of aether.
???: But seeing how eager you are to interfere, I shall cut this foray short.

Sphene: Calyx!
Sphene: What could you possibly stand to gain from these...these atrocities!?

Calyx: Aether sufficient to generate five thousand Endless. How would you acquire it?

Sphene: How would I...?

Calyx: Until I have the key, the reflections are closed to me. Thus do I make do with the sources at hand.
Calyx: Seven percent of Alexandria's current population will yield the energy to convert five thousand into Endless. With eleven percent, operations could continue unabated for eight hundred years.
Calyx: Our bodies are fated to decay, sooner or later. These ones refused the gift of eternal life, so what difference does it make if I return them to aether now?
Calyx: I will not waste time and resources on meaningless conflict. This unit cannot offer you worthwhile resistance.
Calyx: Instead, I pose a question: would you hand over the key if I promised to halt my harvest?

What will you say?
> You would only seek other victims.
> I will halt your harvest by defeating you.

Calyx: It was foolish of me to even ask.
Calyx: I return to my work, then. There is much to do if I must take the key by force.

Optional Dialogue
Krile: I can't... There are no words...

Speak with Sphene
Sphene: This pile of dust. These...ashes...
Sphene: And the soul cell he left behind... Was that his twisted way of returning Geode to us?
Sphene: Damn you, Calyx... Damn you and your careless cruelty!
Sphene: He was our friend...

Krile: Even so. Some might say every death was justified if it meant five thousand Endless could continue their immortal lives.
Krile: And if a reflection's stolen aether allowed for many more Endless? Why, that too would be a noble sacrifice for the greater good...

Sphene: Who could think that!?

Krile: Not I!
Krile: ...Certainly not I.
Krile: We know only too well... There is naught noble in this sacrifice.

Sphene: We have to stop him. We have to find Calyx, and put an end to this madness as soon as possible...
Sphene: And under no circumstances can we let the key fall into his possession, Forename.
Sphene: It falls to us. We must─we will thwart his plans here in Alexandria before he can terrorize innocents in reflections elsewhere...

Optional Dialogue
Krile: I will hold on to Geode's gun... If you could take the soul cell, please...

Circle Blades is a circular AoE with indicator. It does 1,000 to 2,000 damage.

Cursed Voice is an ability that targets 1 tank, 1 healer, and 1 DPS. All of the targeted players get a voice that petrification Petrifies anything in front of the players in a cone. Use this to petrify Renauds and not your party members. If any Snake adds get hit with voice they get a damage increase which makes the fight much harder to heal.

Cursed Shriek is an ability that targets 1 healer or DPS. Cursed party member shrieks out and petrification Petrifies everything in its line-of-sight. Players must hide behind a frozen Renaud to avoid its effects. The ability will also give the boss a damage buff stack if boss is in LoS.

Fireballs is an ability that spawns fireballs periodically. Before 50% HP they're usually cast after shriek goes off. After 50%, they're usually before shriek. Boss shoots 2 fireballs to separate targets that do AoE damage. Will prioritize ranged DPS first, then healers. If a physical ranged is too close to the boss, within 3 yalms, then another DPS will be targeted instead.

Petrifaction is an ability used by the 3rd add and right after the add is dead. The ability petrification Petrifies anyone looking at the boss similar to Medusa.
*Petrified players to will die after 1 hit.
Tail Whip is a frontal cone AoE with no indicator.

Venomous Tail deals heavy damage and poison Poisons its targets. Cleanse the debuff ASAP.

Adds
Renaud is a giant, slow cyclops. It will aggro normally until someone hits him, then he will be locked on that target until it's killed. Petrify him with cursed voice and hide behind him to LoS shrieks. Each petrification Petrification lasts 60 seconds and he has a 60 second slow Slow debuff when spawning. He becomes extremely fast when his slow debuff wears off. Kill the old Renaud when a new Renaud spawns.

Lamia Deathdancers (Melee Snakes) (1st set) uses frontal cleave (no indicator), AoE cleave (with indicator), and huge damage. Spawns 1 at a time. DPS should be good enough to ensure that 2 aren't up simultaneously.

Lamia Fatedealers (Ranged Snakes) (2nd set) uses single target damage and an indicator where AoE damage will come down. Just have to heal through these and kill ASAP. All 4 spawn simultaneously.

Lamia Prosector (Caster Snake) (3rd and last snake add) deals heavy damage on OT and casts Petrifaction. Look away when Petrifaction comes. Main boss will cast petrifaction when this snake is downed. Can LB this or LB boss, doesn't really matter that much. Make sure party is positioned so you can use Cursed Voice on the Renaud without hitting the Caster snake or main boss.

Melusine Strategy
Melusine casts AOE Fireballs on party members that do around 2k damage. Do not stand near other party members or you risk taking 2 Fireballs and dying. Circle blade is just a red circle AOE that does barely any damage but you shouldn't stand near Melusine if you're not melee.

Melusine casts Cursed Voice and Cursed Shriek. It is imperative you know the difference between these two debuffs, because one mistake means a wipe. Cursed-Voice has a triangle debuff icon while Cursed Shriek has a circular debuff icon. When the Cursed Voice debuff wears off it casts a conal AoE that petrifies enemies and allies in the direction your character is facing when the debuff wears off. When Cursed Shriek debuff wears off it casts a AoE petrifaction that petrifies all of the players in an area.

*For the first phase, we have the MT/OT tanking Melusine at the north tip of the arena with all of our party spread out in a loose semi-circle. The point of this is to 1: avoid the double fireballs from hitting the same person, 2: ease the pressure of dealing with Cursed Voice. Anybody with voice need only turn around during the last 2-3 seconds of the debuff to blast behind them safely.

Throughout the fight, Renaud (the cyclops) spawns and tethers to the first person that strikes it and will follow him or her and one shot if him or her if it reaches them. The strategy for handling Renaud is to petrify it with the Cursed voice conal aoe. Renaud can be afflicted with heavy and cause them to basically stand still due to their inherent heavy debuff. Binds should be avoided at all costs as it removes their innate slow. The person Renaud is tethered to should kite around the outside to position the Renaud until Cursed Voice wears off and someone can petrify it. Getting too close to Renaud can nullify the effect of Cursed Voice due to hitbox detection. It's recommended to keep a certain distance between the debuff holder and Renaud. Damaging a petrified Renaud kills it, but do not kill them immediately because read on.

Cursed Shriek is a petrify that covers the entire area so you must use a petrified Renaud to break Line-Of-Sight with the raid and sort of "hide behind" it. Successfully being behind a Renaud when Cursed Shriek wears off will prevent Cursed Shriek from petrifying everyone.

*To deal with Renauds, we have the OT Provoke it and run around the arena. The closest person with voice is responsible for petrifying it is. This is the hardest part of the first phase.

Renauds spawn at a pretty constant rate, and as you progress into the fight other adds will spawn alongside it. Lamia Deathdancer is the first add that spawns at around 80% HP. It is a melee mini-medusa. It casts cleave and Circle Blade. The archer adds, Lamia Fatedealers, spawn at ~50% HP. These adds do a few abilities that deal lots of damage including an AOE and a targeted ability with a visible mark. The Lamia Prosector add will spawn at 35% HP. This add deals heavy magic damage, and has the ability to cast Petrifaction. When it uses the ability, if you are facing the boss, you will be petrified. Simply look away to avoid this effect. When Prosector dies, Melusine will gain this ability and begin to use it periodically. Be sure to kill The Prosector quickly as it deals heavy damage and when it is kept alive, Melusine absorbs it, gaining a buff and its remaining HP.

When Melusine is around 50% HP, the boss room begins to glow with poison in one of the three areas it is split into. After 15 seconds the glowing area explodes, it's pretty obvious and you are safe to run through it until it explodes but do not stand in it.

Additionally she gains a new ability called Tail venom. The ability that adds a poison Poison that must be dispelled off or it triggers an AOE.
Steps
*Ride the lustrous dog.
*Confront Zodiark in the Dark Inside.
*Speak with the watcher.

Journal
*Something has raised the lustrous dog's hackles.

*Sensing danger, the dog gives you a nudge as if to urge you onto its back. A curious invitation, to be sure, but still far from the strangest thing that has happened to you today.

*You clamber onto the dog's back and soar across the moon, only for Zenos to destroy the final brand before your eyes. Although his aim is to make the god of Darkness's power his own, he challenges you to a duel here and now, only to be interrupted by Fandaniel. The Ascian then plunges into the Dark Inside and claims the primal for himself. For the future, for the star, and for all of those who gave their lives to save it, he must be stopped.
**※The Dark Inside can be accessed via the Duty Finder.

*Fandaniel succeeds in gaining full control of Zodiark's unfathomable powers, and yet even that proves insufficient to overcome your indomitable will. Matching his unrelenting onslaught blow for blow, you finally emerge victorious, and the god of Darkness lies before you, broken and defeated.

*The watcher prepares to seal Zodiark once more, but Fandaniel has other plans. Indeed, it was always his intention for you to slay Zodiark─as it is His absence that will set in motion the Final Days. He tears into Zodiark's breast to ensure that His heart might stir no more, and as aether spills forth into the Sea of Stars, he exults in death. A vision of your own star turned to ash fills your mind─an omen of things to come. Never one to let the fate of the world come before his coveted contest, Zenos then reappears to remind you that if even the god of Darkness was insufficient to stoke your rage against him, then perhaps pure, unadulterated despair will have to suffice.

*With Zenos gone from the moon, the watcher offers to speak to you of Zodiark and the coming end. Such ancient secrets will doubtless be invaluable if you are to avert it and deny Fandaniel his dying wish.

Dialogue
The dog growls, agitated.

What will you say?
> We must protect the brand! Come on, boy!
> Cry havoc and let slip the dog of war! That's you, by the way.

The dog nudges you with its nose. You get the feeling it wants you to...hop on?

Ride the lustrous dog. (Cutscene)
With a powerful leap, the dog takes flight!
Fandaniel: In the nick of time to savor the crowning triumph.
Fandaniel: Unbound and free at last. Arise, Zodiark!
Fandaniel: Deprived of heart and will by the loss of dearest Elidibus...
Fandaniel: A creature of pure instinct, wanting for guidance...
Fandaniel: But powerful, oh so powerful. More so with every passing moment.
Fandaniel: Such potential, even in this incomplete state. Still the savior who delivered a world from certain doom.
Zenos yae Galvus: So. Here we stand.
Zenos yae Galvus: You know my intent. Consume the god, then the world. Stoke your fury to a raging inferno and dance among the ashes.
Zenos yae Galvus: Or perhaps you would face me here and now? A lesser but welcome amusement.
Zenos yae Galvus: Yes... A taste to whet the appetite.
Fandaniel: Sorry to spoil the moment, but might I ask that you postpone the slaughter until I have said my piece? I promise I will be brief.
Fandaniel: Do you remember when I told you that I wanted to die and take everyone with me? I meant it.

We are the savior.
We are the guardian. The keeper of natural order.
We are the martyr. The bestower of new beginnings.
We are...

Fandaniel: Such lofty aspirations! And what sweet irony that the world's saviors will become the agents of its destruction!

It cannot end this way...
We must return and be made whole!
We are the will of the star, now and forever!
For the greater good! For the sake of the world!

Fandaniel: Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! Lies and delusion!
Fandaniel: The dead have no power over me. You will be silent ─ silent as the grave!

No more, we beg of you...
The star must endure...
Familiar Stranger: Believe, and walk in faith. Let the light of your soul shine for all to see.
Familiar Stranger: Not quite the outcome you'd imagined, but a fitting one nonetheless.
Familiar Stranger: Don't you think so, Hades?

Zodiark: All I craved and more... Boundless power, mine to command...
Zodiark: Hahaha... Ahahahaha...
Zodiark: I had intended to pit my fractured divinity against Zenos...but a more tempting option presents itself.
Zodiark: The greatest obstacle to my ambition. You will trouble me no longer.

<blockquote>The Dark Inside now accessible.</blockquote>

After The Dark Inside duty.

The Watcher: Well done. My preparations are complete, and I stand ready to seal Zodiark once more.
The Watcher: Withdraw now from this place. The teleporter will deliver you to safety.
Zodiark: Haha...heh heh heh... Incomplete...and insufficient. Of course He was no match.
Zodiark: Once again, you have left my best-laid plans in ruins...
Zodiark: And played your role to perfection, thus sealing my victory!
Zodiark: From the first, all I wanted was for you to kill Zodiark.
Zodiark: 'Twas but one of many methods to achieve the desired effect. 'Twould've been the same had Zenos died in my place.
Zodiark: But what better and more satisfying way to ensure success than to take control myself?
Zodiark: My sole regret is that you live to tell the tale. Even so, I have fulfilled my heart's desire!
Zodiark: Let your murder mark the beginning of the end...
Zodiark: The coming of the Final Days!

Fandaniel: How quickly strength fades, and blood cools. Old, familiar sensations...
Fandaniel: So many lives. So many deaths. No different, this. I close my eyes and slip into the dreamless slumber.
Fandaniel: A tired song and dance. Routine. Always I wake.
Fandaniel: But not this time─hah! Nothing left unsaid, nothing left undone. Inherit my hell, I intone with glee.
Fandaniel: The man I was would weep for what I have become. The all-consuming contempt.
Fandaniel: But I've the wisdom of ten millennia to justify my answer to the question. No value in their existence─not a whit. For all that I looked, none that I did see.
Fandaniel: A final chance, then, for Hydaelyn and Her faithful. In cataclysm prove me wrong, I sneer.
Fandaniel: All shall return to nothingness. As was your will, Emperor Xande.
Fandaniel: I, the star, and every living being...consigned to your oblivion.

Ah...at last...

The Watcher: Deep breaths... Slow and steady...
The Watcher: You saw it too, yes? The blue star below, thrown into turmoil.
The Watcher: Then it was no illusion. All was truth.
The Watcher: With the death of Zodiark, the laws of nature over which He presided have begun to unravel. The Final Days are upon us.
The Watcher: What you witnessed was an omen granted by the Echo. A vision of the horrors to come.
The Watcher: Time grows short.
Zenos: No. I'll find no fulfillment in a contest with you this day.
Zenos yae Galvus: Slavering beasts gather at your gates, ravenous and eager. Already you turn to them and away from me.
Zenos yae Galvus: I must go forth once more in search of power far beyond the might of Shinryu ─ power to make your heart run over with rage.
Zenos yae Galvus: For the eldest of primals was a betrayal of promise. A pathetic creature incapable of inspiring true despair. Aye, that's what I crave ─ pure, unadulterated despair...

What will you say?
> Hope will win the day.
> I will not fight for your amusement.

Zenos yae Galvus: We shall see...

Speak with the watcher.
The Watcher: I sense his presence on the moon no longer.
The Watcher: If you need not follow, then I beg you stay and listen to what I have to tell you.
The Watcher: Of Zodiark...and the end of all things.
