Treasure Hunt is an activity released in patch 2.1. While gathering resources as Miner, Fisher or Botanist at level 40 or above gathering points, players have a chance of receiving Timeworn Maps. Players can decipher these maps to receive a location where treasure can be found. After arriving at the correct location, players will have to defeat one or several monsters guarding the treasure before it can be opened. The maps come in 8 grades. Grade 8 is the hardest and gives the greatest rewards.

*Players can only receive 1 map through gathering once every 18 hours Earth time. They can decipher as many maps as they like however.
* Fisher must have the Snagging action active to find maps.

*While players can sell the Timeworn Maps, they cannot be sold after they are deciphered.

*Rewards listed below are possible outcomes of what might be in the treasure. Its possible for some of the rewards to be HQ. You will get many chests that do not contain these rare items. Its possible to find another treasure map.

To unlock Treasure Hunt, players need to complete the level 36 quest: Treasures and Tribulations. Players can start the quest by talking to H'loonh in Eastern La Noscea (x21,y21).

Tutorial
Finding the Maps
In the course of gathering, Disciples of the Land will now be able to obtain items known as timeworn maps. These maps can then be used to reveal the location of hidden treasures. Maps are found in level 40 or above gathering nodes throughout Eorzea. Higher level nodes will offer more difficult maps with better rewards. Players cannot find maps at unspoiled gathering points or guildleve gathering points.

*Timeworn map locations are not recorded in gathering and fishing logs.

Examining a Timeworn Map
Players can examine a timeworn map by using the action Decipher. Doing so will change the timeworn map into a treasure map key item. Only one treasure map can be in your possession at any given time.

Discovering Treasure
Using a treasure map will bring up a window indicating the general area of the treasure. Players must cross-reference the area map to discover its precise location. Using the action Dig in the approximate location will cause a treasure chest to spawn.

Examining Treasure Chests
Treasure chests are armed with a trap, which, when triggered, will lure an enemy (or several) to your location. If the enemy cannot be defeated within the allotted time, or you and your party leave the area, the treasure chest will disappear and the hunt will end.

*The treasure map will be lost upon triggering the trap.

Obtaining Treasure
Players will be free to examine the treasure chest after defeating the abovementioned enemy. All party members will receive rewards such as EXP, gil, Allagan tomestones of philosophy and mythology, minions, aetherial gear, crafting ingredients (including HQ), housing materials, medicine, and elemental shards. The contents of the treasure chest will vary depending on the type of treasure map.

*Gil and Allagan tomestones will be distributed evenly between party members.

Unhidden Maps
Occasionally players will find Unhidden Leather Maps in the Treasure Chests. Unhidden Maps lead players to even rarer treasures.
Free Company Airships built from Free Company Crafting can undertake Exploratory Voyages, the exploration of uncharted lands in The Sea of Clouds. These explorations are carried out automatically, with airships returning after a fixed amount of time. Upon completion of an exploratory voyage, you will be provided with a voyage log detailing the results. You will also receive various items depending on the results of the voyage. As you continue to deploy airships on voyages, you will eventually discover new areas to survey.

Craft and Deploy Airships
Free Company Crafting in the Company Workshop is needed to craft and register airships using requisite components and flight credits. Each airship is built with 4 components: Hull, Rigging, Forecastle and Aftcastle. Each component has many types and requires numerous materials, multiple phases, lengthy wait time and a group of crafters to build. Note that you cannot build HQ components with HQ materials.

Airships require Ceruleum Tanks to be deployed on exploratory voyages. They can be purchased using company credits from the resident caretaker in any of the housing districts.

Multiple Airships can be maintained for a Free Company, with a second being unlocked once your airship visits Sea of Clouds - Sector 8. A third airship is unlocked upon exploring Sector 14.

Airship Stats and Performance
The combination of parts used to build an airship will determine the distances it can travel, as well as the rewards you will receive from voyages.

Rank
When a voyage is complete, airships will gain experience points depending on its selected flight path, and eventually increase in rank. Higher rankings will allow you to outfit airships with new components to improve their performance on future voyages.

Stats
The stats of an airship affect the distance it can travel, the time required for voyages, as well as the rewards received from voyages. Stats of an airship can be altered by changing its components.
{| class="wikitable sortable"
|-
Airships are comprised of four primary parts—the hull, rigging, forecastle, and aftcastle. Bear in mind that durability of these parts will be depleted when sending airships out on exploratory voyages. When the durability of any given part reaches zero, it will need to be replaced or repaired.

Multiple Airships can be maintained for a Free Company, with a second being unlocked once the first one discovers the Sea of Clouds - Sector 8.

TOCRIGHT
Zodiac weapons are the upgraded versions of your Relic Weapons obtained from A Relic Reborn. These weapons have the item level of 100. Players can start the Zodiac weapon questline by speaking to Gerolt in North Shroud (X 30,Y 20) and starting the quest Up in Arms.

*You need to have your Zenith Relic Weapon equipped when you speak to Gerolt to receive the quest.

After upgrading your Atma Zodiac Weapon into Animus Zodiac Weapon. Players can further upgrade Item level 100 Animus Weapon into Item level 110 Novus Weapon.

*Atma --> Animus --> Novus --> Nexus

Upgrading Atma to Animus
After upgrading your Zenith Relic Weapon into Atma. Players can slowly upgrade Atma Weapon into Animus Weapon by purchasing and completing 9 Books sold by G'jusana for 1,500 Allagan Tomestone of Mythology each. Each book has various tasks such as kill monsters and completing dungeons, FATEs and levequests.

Upgrading Animus to Novus
Complete the quests Celestial Radiance and Star Light, Star Bright. Players will need to purchase 3 Superior Enchanted Ink at the cost of 500 Mythology Tomestones each (1500 total) from Rowena. Players will then give the 3 inks to Hubairtin in Central Thanalan (x23,y13) for a Sphere Scroll.

Players will need to Infuse the Sphere Scroll 75 times to complete the it.

Each infusion requires 2 items: Materia and Alexandrite. Players can obtain Alexandrites by completing FATEs with animus weapons equipped (similar to Atma farming). Players can also obtain alexandrites with Mysterious Maps. Players can acquire mysterious maps by purchasing them with 800 Mythology Tomestones each from the Auriana. Players can also acquire them by completing the quest Morbid Motivation that asks the player to complete Expert Duty Roulette. Quest resets daily and each completion awards the player with one Mysterious Map.

*Solving Mysterious Map is similar to solving other Treasure Maps. Players will need the skills Decipher and Dig.

*When the player fails mysterious map, the map disappears and no alexandrite is awarded.

Melding Materia
To infuse and upgrade the weapon's stats, players will use alexandrites as the catalyst to meld materia. Each successful meld infuses the stat of materia into the scroll, granting the it 1 point in the corresponding stat. Higher tier of materia will increase the likelihood of successful infusion. It will not give more than 1 stat point. While the player will likely lose the materia for unsuccessful melds, the player will not lose alexandrite. As the specific stats of the weapon increases, higher materia tier is needed for sucessful melds/upgrades.

*To complete the scroll, players will need 75 successful melds with 75 alexandrites total.

*Players will not need crafting skills to meld materia.

Stats
The weapons' 5 main stats (Vitality, Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence and Mind) upgrade automatically.

Players can upgrade additional stats such as Piety, Determination, Accuracy, Spell Speed, Skill Speed, Critical Hit Rate and Parry up to a total of 75 points. Accuracy, Spell Speed, Skill Speed, Critical Hit Rate and Parry cap at 44 points each. Piety caps at 33 points and Determination caps at 31 points.

Upgrading Novus to Nexus
Player needs to speak to Jalzahn in North Shroud (x29,y19) with her Novus Weapon equipped. After completing the Mmmmmm, Soulglazed Relics quest, player can speak to Jalzahn to choose the weapon to soulglaze. With the soulglazed Novus weapon equipped, player will earn "light" by completing dungeons, trials, FATEs, Treasure Hunt, Alexandrite Maps, The Wolves' Den and Frontlines. After gaining enough "light", the Novus weapon will transform into Nexus weapon.

*You can't get "light" from The Hunt or Guildhests??

Different activities give different amounts of "light". "Light" earned will appear in the chat log after completing the activity. Light levels are Feeble Light (least "light"), Gentle Light, Blinding Light, Brilliant Light and Newborn Star (most "light").

*Each type of Light has a secret value that advances your Novus into Nexus. Players will need to reach 2000 "light" points.

*Atma --> Animus --> Novus --> Nexus
