The Feast is the competitive PvP mode released in patch 3.21. The Feast is a new PvP arena in which the main objective is to steal your opponent's medals. The winner of these matches is determined by whichever team has the most at the end of each match. Individual PvP rating and tiers will also be assigned to players and the highest-ranked participants of each season will be awarded a special prize.
3
Unlock
Players must complete the level 60 quest A Seat at the Feast by speaking to Alys in Mor Dhona (X:22,y9). Players must first complete the quest A Pup No Longer for any of the 3 Grand Companies.

Types and Roles
The Feast is divided into three arenas, for each of which ratings and participant numbers will differ. The 8 on 8 matches will be held in a larger arena.
* New members cannot be added during matches.
* In the 27th Letter from the Producer LIVE it was announced that five different arenas will be introduced; however, only three arenas will be implemented initially. The remaining two will then be added depending on the circumstances surrounding non-rated matches.

Requirements
Entry
Requirement
Time Limit || 10 minutes
Level Requirement || Disciple of War or Magic level 60
Item Level Requirement || Average Item Level of 150 or above
Item Level Sync || Item level 150
*For arenas that require an item level sync, all item stats will be adjusted accordingly and materia bonuses will be ignored during PvP.
*Players who abandon the Feast (not including players who join a match in progress or are vote kicked) will receive a penalty. Players so penalized will be unable to register for Frontline campaigns or the Wolves' Den for 30 minutes.
*Players inactive for over a period of two minutes will automatically be removed from the Feast.

Actions

Certain actions, including PvP actions, may be restricted or altered for the Feast. Additionally, adrenaline rush will replace the limit break action. Unlike the limit break, adrenaline rush can be used by single players after filling the adrenaline gauge. It can be activated using the Limit Break action icon.

Item Restrictions

Consumable items are not allowed in the Feast.
*Effects from these items will be removed upon entry.
*This feature does not apply to Frontline campaigns.

Chat

The Say, Party, Alliance, Yell, and Shout chat channels can be used during the Feast. However, players can only see messages from members of their own team.
*When participating in the Feast, players can receive but not send messages via free company, linkshell chat, or novice network.

Mechanics
Basics
1. The Feast participants will be placed on one of two teams: the Claws or the Fangs. Players will then begin the match in their teams' respective cages (landing point). Matches will begin after a 60 second countdown. Every player receives 100 medals at the beginning of the match for the 4 on 4 and 8 on 8 matches.

2. Players that have been defeated by a member of the opposing team will drop half the medals in their possession.

Small (1 to 25 medals)

Medium (26 to 74 medals)

Large (75 medals or more)

3. By interacting with dropped medals, players can claim them as their own. Only medals dropped by members of the opposing team can be collected. Should the dropped medals for some reason go uncollected, they will vanish after a set period of time and be returned to the player that was originally in possession of them.

The following icon in the name display will indicate the number of medals each player possesses:

Retaliation - Incapacitated players will be returned to their team's landing, where they will be allowed to rejoin combat after a short delay. This will not incur a weakness penalty. Furthermore, players' TP and MP will be fully restored and they will be granted temporary invulnerability when leaving their landing.

4. Victory is achieved in one of two ways: be the first team to hold a collective total of 600 medals in a 4 on 4 match or 1,200 medals in a 8 on 8 match; or be the team holding the most medals when the time limit for the match expires.

Adrenaline Rush
In the Feast, adrenaline rush will replace the limit break action and unlike limit break, can be used by single players. The adrenaline rush gauge can be filled by retrieving adrenaline kits during combat. Once completely filled, adrenaline rush can then be activated using Limit Break located under the General tab of the Actions & Traits interface.

Supply Boxes and Kits
A variety of supply boxes can be found in the Feast. By targeting and destroying these boxes, players will be able to obtain supply kits, which offer various beneficial effects. The effect of a kit can only be gained by the team member who inflicted the most damage on the supply box.

*The movement speed increase will not stack with other movement speed boosts.

Culling Time
During the match, if a certain amount of time elapses without a player being KO'd, then all participants will be afflicted by "Culling Time"─a detrimental status effect that causes players to receive added damage from attacks. The extra damage from attacks with 'Culling Time' will continue to increase over time. This effect and the disruptions in weather caused by this status will only disappear once a player is KO'd.

Heavy Metal
Participants who hold too many medals in their possession will be afflicted with the "Heavy Medal" status and will receive 10% more damage as a result. This affliction can stack up to 9 times, depending on the number of medals the player possesses.

Match Progress Display Window
Players will have the option to view match progress for the Feast.

* This window for the Feast displays player contribution to the battle using three abbreviations: K, D, and A. "K" stands for the number of opponents a player has KO'd; "D" stands for the number of times a player has been KO'd; and "A" represents a player's number of assists in defeating enemies.
* This window can be viewed from the Duty List or by hitting the assigned keybinding.

Sudden Death
Should the eight-minute time limit expire with both teams holding the same number of medals, the match will enter a two-minute "Sudden Death" period. The first team to obtain a medal will be victorious. If both teams still hold the same number of medals at the end of Sudden Death, the match will result in a draw.

Players will be afflicted by the "Marked for Culling" status effect during Sudden Death as follows:

60-120s || 5
*If Sudden Death is triggered during Culling Time, the stacking debuff "Marked for Culling" will be reset.
*The effects of Sudden Death will continue even if a player is KO'd.
*Supply boxes will not appear during Sudden Death.

Rewards
When a campaign has ended, players will receive EXP, Wolf Marks, Allagan Tomestones of Esoterics, and Allagan Tomestones of Lore.

PvP EXP
Accumulating EXP raises Rank, and rewards players with Action Points that can be used to enhance PvP-exclusive actions and traits.
*Winner: 500 PvP EXP
*Loser: 250 PvP EXP
Wolf Marks
Wolf Marks can be exchanged for gear and other items by speaking with one of the Maelstrom soldiers stationed at the Wolves' Den Pier (x6,y6).
*Winner: 500 Wolf Marks
*Loser: 250 Wolf Marks
Ranked Rewards
Ranked Rewards are given at the end of an season via Moogle Mail. Placement rewards are given based on top 1, 10 and 100 or 30 finish within a data center. Tier rewards are placed on the player's tier at the end of the season.

Ratings
Ratings
A player's PvP rating is a value that represents their relative skill compared to other participants of the Feast. Each person will be given an individual rating and a four-person party rating, which will fluctuate independently of one another.

PvP ratings will only be affected by rated matches, increasing with each match won and decreasing with each match lost by the player. Should any of these matches result in a tie, PvP ratings will remain unaffected.

Duty Finder will match participants in the Feast 4 on 4 – Solo based upon their PvP ratings. To prevent any large disparities between teams from occurring, players will be distributed so the average rating of both sides will be equal.

Ratings will not change with static parties and 4 on 4 matches, but will be used to match players to someone with a similar rating.

*Players with a PvP rating of less than 500 will remain unaffected by losses.
*Players who experience a loss of connection, log out, or quit during the middle of a match or promotion qualifier will lose by default. However, should a player reconnect before results are tallied, their rating will increase or decreased based on the results of the match.
*In the event of a server crash, ongoing matches will be voided, and will have no effect on player rankings and wolf marks.

Tiers
A player's tier represents their standing in the hierarchy of the Feast, and is determined by the player's PvP rating. There are five tiers in total. When a season ends, players will receive rewards based on their tier placement.

Tier
Diamond ||

Promotion Qualifiers
To advance to higher tiers, players must participate in promotion qualifiers. Once the requisite PvP rating has been reached, players will earn the right to fight in up to five promotion qualifiers. At least three of these matches must be won in order to advance to the next tier. Progress can be monitored by selecting PvP Profile located under Character in the main menu.

* PvP ratings may still increase or decrease when participating in promotion qualifiers.
* In the event of a tie, the match will not be counted during promotion qualifiers.
* In the event a player's PvP rating drops below the minimum required for the current tier, that player will be demoted to the next lower tier. However, players cannot be demoted lower than bronze.

Seasons
A season refers to the set period within which participants of the Feast must strive to achieve the highest possible PvP rating and tier. At the end of each season, players will receive rewards based on their final tier. Participants that fulfill certain conditions will also be eligible to receive special season bonuses. Patch 3.21 will mark the beginning of the pre-season, at which time we will make a number of balance adjustments. Please note that no season rewards will be on offer during pre-season.
Lore
The table is set, and the wolves gather for the Feast! Will you gorge on the flesh of your foes, or find yourself served on a platter? Only the most savage of beasts are invited to this banquet─you'll need fangs of steel and an endless thirst for blood! Wait not for the tolling of the culling bell! Devour your rivals, take their hides for trophies, and build a hunter's throne from their bones!
Time Limit || 90 minutes
Prerequisites || Players must complete the Main Scenario Quest Heavensward
*Disciples of the Land are not required to be level 60.
*Please note that while players may enter the Diadem as an alliance, upon entering, the group will not be treated as an alliance, but as three separate parties.

Entry Requirements
Players must first complete the main scenario quest Heavensward (Quest). To undertake exploratory missions with a free company, players can access them via the Company Workshop. To undertake exploratory missions without a free company, players must first speak with the NPC Aurvael in The Pillars (x14,y10).

Free Company Exploratory Missions
When undertaking exploratory missions using a free company airship, players must form a party of at least 2 people. Players can also form an alliance of up to 24 players. There are no role requirements for entering the Diadem as an alliance. Each party or alliance member must have a tank of mission ceruleum in their possession, which can be purchased in exchange for company credits. One tank is required for each mission.

Ishgardian Exploratory Missions
Players can also journey to the Diadem via Ishgardian airships. Players can undertake Isghardian exploratory missions solo or in a party of up to 8 people. Each player of the party must have a mission ceruleum voucher in their possession, which can be purchased from the NPC Jaquoinie in The Pillars (x14,y10) for gil. One voucher is required for each mission. There are no role requirements when entering as a full party. However, parties with less than 8 players must adhere to the standard composition of 2 tanks, 2 healers, and 4 DPS.

Rules and Limitations
Entry Limitations
Before undertaking an exploratory mission, whether via company workshops or the airship landing in Ishgard, at least 2 hours must have elapsed since last entering the Diadem. This timer is shared between all difficulty levels.

Loot Rules
When undertaking exploratory missions via a free company workshop, or with a full party via Ishgard, parties may set loot rules to Normal, Greed Only, or Loot Master. When undertaking exploratory missions via Ishgard with less than eight players, the loot rules will be set to Greed Only.

Difficulty
There are three difficulty levels for exploratory missions. Players can select their desired difficulty prior to undertaking a mission. The strength of enemies and rewards obtained will vary based on this setting. Please note that in order to select the hardest difficulty, you must first chart a route by deploying your airship on an exploratory voyage to specific islands.

Changing Class and Jobs
After entering the Diadem, players can freely change between classes and jobs when out of combat.

Rewards
Treasure Coffers
Treasure Coffers are dropped after defeating enemies. They are divided into 3 tiers: Gold, Silver and Bronze. Players may sometimes find gear inside treasure coffers. This gear is unique in that its appearance and parameters are assigned at random.
*Only treasure coffers discovered by your party will appear on the field.

Brass Sky Pirate Spoils
Unwanted gear obtained from treasure coffers can be exchanged for brass sky pirate spoils by speaking with Spoils Trader in The Pillars (x14,y10). These brass sky pirate spoils can then be used to purchase goods from the Spoils Collector.

Steel Sky Pirate Spoils
Disciples of the Land can gather steel sky pirate spoils in the Diadem. These can be redeemed for a variety of goods by speaking with the Spoils Collector in the Pillars (x14,y10).
*Spoils traders and collectors can also be found inside the Diadem and residential areas.

Other Rewards
By completing a certain number of the objectives listed for a given mission, players will receive other rewards including Allagan Tomestones.

The Diadem
The Diadem (Hard) Guide
Players can explore the Diadem for hidden treasure coffers by slaying creatures and gathering rare items. While exploring the Diadem, players will find unique pieces of gear whose appearance and parameters are random. Up to nine parties (72 players) can explore in a single instance.

Mission modes are divided into 3 difficulties Easy, Normal and Hard. Players can only participate in Hard mode with their Free Company members and Free Company Airships. Players join PUG groups for Easy and Normal modes from the Pier in Ishgard.
*As long as someone in the Free Company is hosting the airship, players can invite non-FC members to join your FC’s expeditions.

Hard Mode has to be unlocked by completing Sector 22 in Free Company Airships' Exploratory Voyages.
Flying Mounts
By attuning to the aether turbulences found inside the Diadem, players can use their mounts to fly. Please note that your attunement to these currents will be lost upon leaving the Diadem, and you must attune to them again should you return.

Enemies
The icon next to enemy names is an indication of their relative strength.

Field Objects
As you explore the Diadem, you may encounter constructs with various effects. Proper use of these constructs is essential to a successful mission.

Shops and NPCs
Within the Diadem are small settlements with merchants who offer the following services:

*Gear repair
*Exchange of unwanted gear for brass sky pirate spoils
*Sale of goods for brass and steel sky pirate spoils
*Weather forecasts for islands in the Diadem

Spiritbonding
Gear will gain spiritbonding at an increased rate in the Diadem in comparison to other duties.
* The increased spiritbond gain does not apply to crafting or gathering.

Mission Results
When time has expired, or you choose to end the exploratory mission early, you can view a list of completed objectives.
*Mission Time
*Enemies Slain
**NMs Slain
Special Rewards
*Hunting Hawk
*Faded Copy of Engage

Guides
The Diadem (Hard) Guide

Tips
*The best way to get 210 pieces to drop is to get good credit for killing a rank V or rank Star monster. First team to hit the mob gets credit for sure. Otherwise, if you don’t do enough damage you won’t get a chest. Gold Chests are what you really want. (There is a small chance a IV will drop a Gold chest.)

*The best way to get Vs to spawn seems to be to kill IVs. Since mobs have a LOT of HP and don’t do very much damage, having the tank pull 3-4 things at a time seems to be solid here. But don’t bother with Rank IIs and IIIs if you can.

*Therefore, it seems that the best practice to get 210 drops is, get with another party or two, esp. FC parties, kill IVs to spawn Vs and Star rank dudes.

*Tracks on the ground - Interact and it spawns a V or Star.

*The initial Island can take you 30 minutes to clear. You don’t want that. Check your map, get the aether currents and get out of there. If you like you can clear the 4 mob kill objective off your to-do list. But the to-do list is easy to complete, so don’t spend a lot of time on that. It is worth doing sac-pulls to get aether currents if you have to.

*The Return spell is awesome.

*Gathering - Stealth doesn’t work. Mobs one-shot you. Either do a quick gather cycle on an island after clearing it, or just be super careful. Gathering gives you periodic bronze and silver chests (150 and 180 gear)

Lore
The use of airships has grown increasingly popular in recent times, and adventurers near and far now labor to conquer an exciting new frontier—the Diadem! Those with the courage to venture deep within the Sea of Clouds will find a veritable treasure trove of natural resources. But these islands are as treacherous as they are bountiful. Home to bloodthirsty beasts and otherworldly creatures, only the brave and the bold may survive its hardships, and stake their claim to untold fortunes.

Fisher is a gathering or Disciples of the Land class that harvests fish and other sea creatures from the waters of Eorzea, as well as other specific locations at higher levels. The raw materials they gather are used primarily by the Culinarian crafting class, but Alchemist also has some use for them. When you fish, Fishing Tackles are expended. Different fishing tackles are used to catch different fish in various environments. If the tackle used is unsuitable for the location, the fishing attempt will be canceled without expending the tackle. Some fish can only be caught under specific additional circumstances (weather, time of day) or using specific actions (such as mooching).

The Fisher's Guild is located in Limsa Lominsa.

To become a fisher, talk to the fisher's guild receptionist when you're level 10 or higher on another class.
Limit Breaks are group oriented ultimate abilities that can alter the outcome of a battle. They can be performed after charging up a limit break meter.

Limit Breaks are specific to each party role. Tank limit breaks reduce the damage taken for the entire party for a short time. Melee physical DPS limit breaks deal a massive amount damage to a single target. Caster DPS limit breaks deal devastating area of effect damage. Healer limit breaks restore HP and MP to the entire party.

As of patch 3.0, the limit break for ranged physical DPS has been changed from sharing the Healer limit break to an attack to all targets in a straight line before the caster. Furthermore, level three limit breaks can now only be used by jobs.

*For example, Monk and Dragoon are both Melee DPS. They can both use Melee DPS limit breaks such as Braver and Bladedance, but only Monk can use Final Heaven while only Dragoon can use Dragonsong Dive.

Limit Breaks are only usable in a party environment. There are 3 levels of limit breaks, the 1st level can be used in a party with 4 or more members, the 2nd level needs a full party of 8 members, the 3rd level requires a full raid of 24 players, with the exception of dungeons and trials: an additional bar is added at the start of the boss fight.

Tank Limit Breaks
Tank Limit Breaks require Gladiator, Marauder, Paladin, Warrior or Dark Knight.
Shield Wall
Shield Wall is the level 1 limit break for tanks. It reduces damage taken by all party members by 10% for 10 seconds.

Mighty Guard
Mighty Guard is the level 2 limit break for tanks. It reduces damage taken by all party members by 20% for 15 seconds.

Last Bastion (PLD)
Last Bastion is the level 3 limit break for Paladin. It reduces damage taken by all party members by 50% for 12 seconds.

Land Waker (WAR)
Land Waker is the level 3 limit break for Warrior.

The Howling Eye (Extreme) is a level 50 trial that requires the player to defeat Garuda (Extreme). It requires a full party of 8 players and average item level (iLevel) of 65 and above. To unlock the trial, player must be on the quest Galeforce Warning and should have completed Primal Nature and defeated Titan (Hard).

*Players can start the questline by talking to Urianger at The Waking Sands (x6,y6).

*Players will receive 16 Allagan Tomestone of Soldiery and 8 Allagan Tomestone of Poetics for the completion of the trial.

Strategy
*The video was incorrect when stating that Suparna needs to be pulled, everyone says to pull Chirada first when they spawn.
*The video was incorrect when stating that Spiny Plume gives stacks when you hit it, the stacks actually come from when the Spiny Plume hits you.

Phase 1
This is very similar to the other versions - however, when the Razor Plumes appear, make sure to kill the Satin Plume first. Otherwise, the Satin Plume will sleep everyone.

Phase 2
Garuda will spawn two adds, Chirada and Suparna. Separate them and kill one at a time. Generally you will be killing Chirada first.

At the end of this phase Garuda will teleport to the center and cast Reckoning. There's no dodging this, so stack up in the center.

Phase 3
Garuda will destroy the pillars, and summon more Razor Plumes. This time they will have a Spiny Plume with them. Kill the Razor Plumes, but do not kill the Spiny Plume.

When Garuda vanishes, kill the Spiny Plume. This will create a shield that will protect you from wiping when Garuda reappears. Dodge the Spiny Plume's AoE when it dies and hide under its shield.

Phase 4
Gaurda will summon a Spiny Plume, Chirada and Suparna, and a large number of green whirlwinds.

There are safe spots in the northwest, northeast, southwest, and southeast to stand to avoid the whirlwinds.

As in Phase 2, separate Chirada and Suparna, kill them one at a time. Garuda will vanish once they both die.

As in Phase 3, avoid killing the Spiny Plume until Garuda vanishes, then hide under its shield.

You'll cycle between Phase 3 and Phase 4 until Garuda dies.

An attack by the primal Garuda has annihilated an entire brigade of Twin Adders, with the sole survivor left to tell a tale writ in terror and misery. Garuda's powers are far greater than they should be; left with few options and all but one of them almost certain failures, the Order of the Twin Adder turns to the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, so that they may summon a Warrior of Light.

RE: Welcome
Thanks for the welcome. I've done a lot of wiki editing in the past so I'm very familiar with the language and coding. I'm glad you like the changes. As for my Relic Reborn page, I would prefer if you didn't copy it across to the live version yet. I'm still figuring out and testing both in my head and in my sandbox what's the best way to layout the Relic / Zodiac Weapons stuff. Thanks! Nekonova (talk) 19:50, 5 January 2015 (PST)
: I've copied across Weapon, Relic Reborn and Relic Weapon to their corresponding pages: Relic Weapons, Relic Weapons/Quest and Zenith Relic Weapons/Quest. I think I've fixed most of the bugs / errors that may have happened when I copied it across - and fixed any double redirects. Let me know if you find anymore. == Thank you. ==

Thanks for the welcome. I'm not completely familiar with the Wiki formatting but I just wanted to contribute and update any details that might be missing! I'll be sure to look around and check up on the template however.

Thanks for the welcome
I've been editing dungeons and trials that weren't specific enough or had incomplete strategies. I hope i help out and thanks again for the welcome
*Edit: are my changes to the pages good?

Hello
I edited the classes section one more time.. thought your content and my content would look better combined into a chart that was more like the jobs chart. It works better "at a glance" like that.

I also went back and edited the Jobs chart to include the role.

I'm very rusty at all this... I haven't edited a wiki since pre-Vanguard Saga of Heroes release... since then I usually depend upon the official websites.. however your wiki was far more comprehensive.

I'm a Newb to FFXIV as in like last week... which is why I have been editing this stuff as I encounter an issue where I don't have enough data or I think it's just not in the ideal format I have been trying to fix it so other newbs have an easier time as this game is fairly complex.

My wife and I started the same day and it was a hassle to figure out how to make 2 classes that started in the same city that would then both be useful in building our "job" which is why I did the starting city break down

I was also confused by class names such as conjurer... in other games that is more like the summoner in this game... not a healer AT ALL... which is why I moved the roles up to the chart area.

My edits may be over at this point. I hope someone else sees it as added value and not "ugg that chart is too big"

I like your modifications on top of mine even more.. good job.

Heavensward Fishing Locations
I've completed all fish in all locations. In Dravanian Forelands however there were 2 "West Mourns" i've since corrected one with the location and fish of "Halo"

Convertibility
Hi there,

I had a question about item convertibility.
I was looking around in the wiki but could not find the answer.

Items show if an item is able to convert in material.
Some items can't be converted but are usually projectable.

Convertible: No, Projectable: Yes

My question now is what does projectable mean?
I was thinking maybe the item can be projected on other gear to look like it, but if so. How do you do that.

Greetings,
Marrik

Thank you.
Hi, thanks for the welcome. I am leveling a Machinist in Heavensward so I will try to keep my eye out for any related info in the wiki that needs updated about them. Thanks again! --Ziros22

Sources
I'm relatively new to wiki work, and I wanted to check - what are our guidelines regarding sources? For example, Garland Tools has some great information (GC quartermaster inventory, airship expedition rewards, etc) that are all datamined, and aren't in Libra Eorzea or other SE products. Are those useable as sources? With attribution, perhaps? What sources are openly permissible? Skald359 (talk) 15:54, 2 December 2015 (PST)

Wiki Bot
Do you guys have a wikibot on the site? If so, you should send it through the CGW Wiki's Broken File Links Category page and have it do a blank/null edit on most everything in there. That category gets updated every time a page is created that is missing an image (like an icon), but if the picture is uploaded after then it doesn't get removed from that category until the item's page is edited again. I went through and did some blank edits on about 50 items, and uploaded a couple icons I noticed you guys were missing, but there's over 2400 pages in there.. 90%+ of those could be removed with a simple null edit. If you guys don't have a bot to do that.. then maybe you could open a bunch of tabs up like I did and use keyboard shortcuts to edit, then submit a blank edit to remove them from that category :) That category is extremely handy for actually finding out if you're missing images! If people make the page first (via submit, rather than preview) and then upload the image, then that would explain why there are so many pages in there... == Triple Triad ==

Hello Moogle!

Thank you very much for the welcome, and, if it hasn't been noticed already, I have been working on adding/filling in a bunch of the Triple Triad information. The only difficulty is learning how to format Wikis correctly. However, it has been enjoyable finding things that are not included in the current Triple Triad Cards pages and being able to add them to the Wiki!

I hope this is okay with yourself, and with the contributors to the Wiki! Thank you for being part of such helpful and useful information, and I hope I could become apart of it.
~AtomicHeart

Thank you very much.
I am a bit rusty when it comes to wiki edits, so please bear with me. I'll do my best to help make this wiki great. ~Demendred

Thanks for the welcoming message.
Regarding the Mining Materials page, i think there's an issue with some icons.
Sunrise Tellin has no icon, and Mudstone has the wrong one (in the level 16-20 section).
