Burn boss and kill spears ASAP. Frumious Koheel Ja casts '''{{Action icon|Fire Angon}}''' by throwing burning spears at the ground which cast a stacking debuff to the whole party if they are left alive.

A shaman boss, who summons totems. If after a while no-one has claimed the totems, he will recall all of them and gain the buffs himself. Some of the totems grant buffs while some should be ignored. He will randomly hex a target and turns them into a toad for 12 seconds. He will also randomly cast Fire to the party members and while the damage is not too big, the totems can increase the damage.

Standing in a totem gives you a buff or debuff. Clean as many of the flags as possible and don't stack fire resist down.

There will be Purple, Red, Blue and Green Totems. The effects of the various colors are random. One will give you attack up (DPS should pick it up), another will give you the toad debuff or cleanse the toad debuff (only pick it up if you are a toad), another will give you fire resist down and final one will give the player {{status effect|heavy}} [[Heavy]] debuff.

*Because the Totem effects are random, use the first couple Totems to figure out which color has which effect. Do not allow any one player to have too many stacks of the fire debuff or the player will die when the boss casts a random fire spell on them.

Stay very close to him to avoid a huge cone AoE. Move away for rotting gas. Person with rotting lung has to stay away from the party when '''Rotting Gas''' pops. The person with the lungs will also AoE around them.

The boss drops multiple banners on the ground during the fight. The banners' buff the boss' damage and armor, so the tank should just pull the boss away from the banner-range. Tank needs to keep moving the boss so the party doesn't have to fight in the banner AoE.

*Do not allow the boss to stand in purple circle of '''Sacred Standard''', by kiting him around the outer edge of the boss room.

He will cast debuffs that makes healing worse and '''Soul Douse''', which applies {{status effect|doom}} [[Doom (status effect)|Doom]] on random party members looking at him. Healers can remove doom by healing the target to full hp. {{status effect|doom}} [[Doom (status effect)|Doom]] can also be negated by turning around as he casts the spell. Don't face the boss and it doesn't take effect.

*Unable to stay your advance, the Garleans retreat, and the Keeper of the Lake sleeps soundly once more. For the anima's next lesson, you decide to revisit the Wanderer's Palace, to ensure that the Mamool Ja pose no further threat to the tonberries.

*With the aid of the anima weapon, you drive the Mamool Ja out of the Wanderer's Palace, leaving the tonberries in peace. Never quite convinced that the darkness had been truly banished, you resolve to make for the Shroud.

Seeing no one, you dismiss the feeling as a trick of the imagination, and ponder where to go next. In the end, you settle on the Dusk Vigil, that once-proud fortress left to the wild beasts of Coerthas.

*Wielding the anima weapon with consummate skill, you leave the living denizens of the Dusk Vigil dead, and the dead ones in pieces. *On the slopes of Sohm Al, you lay low the minions of Nidhogg in what you hope to be an educational fashion. The threat of dragons still looms, however, and so you journey to the Aery to strike once more against Ishgard's greatest foe.

*Though your visit to the Aery severely taxed your strength, it is not yet time to rest. Nevertheless, you bid Ardashir make for the safety of Ishgard, for where you mean to go, he cannot follow. Rather than face the enemies without, you choose to face the enemies within─your memories, that is. Using the power of your mind, you will relive your battle in the Vault.

*Though your reenactment of the battle in the Vault only loosely corresponded to the actual event, you are hopeful that the experience was of some benefit. When you subsequently reflect on the lengths to which you have gone to nurture the anima, you suddenly recall a strange occurrence in the Black Shroud which you suspect may be significant. Speak with Ardashir and tell him what you saw.

*Ardashir's eyes grow wide with wonder upon hearing your account of the anima. He leaves immediately for Azys Lla, and asks that you rejoin him there as soon as you are able.

*Upon arriving, you find Ardashir abuzz with excitement, much to Gerolt's evident irritation. You interrupt the pair's bickering with the revelation that the anima can speak. While Ardashir is dumbstruck by the implications of this discovery, Gerolt wants nothing more than to go home, and asks for your weapon that he might make some final adjustments. The blacksmith duly gives the thing an exceedingly thorough pounding, his arm granted new strength by his thirst for ale, but even he is unprepared for what follows. Without warning, the weapon begins to glow as if alive. Though you sense the fledgling anima still has some way to go, you look forward to seeing it grow.

Wandil has several AOE abilities (one of which is unavoidable) which add a stacking debuff to all players affected. Once this debuff reaches 4 stacks, the player is frozen (effectively stunned) for a short duration. Periodically he will summon Ice Bombs which will self-destruct after some time or when they get low health. These should be killed to avoid additional damage and more stacks of the debuff. Healers should keep an eye on their stack count and try to top up the party's health before they're stunned.

At a certain point during the fight, he'll also create a persistent ring of ice around the edges of the most arena which must be avoided, limiting the players room to maneuver and avoid AoE.

Yeti has a frontal cone AoE that turns its spriggan adds into snowballs if they are hit by it. The tank should try to make the Yeti face as many spriggans as possible. These adds can be safely ignored otherwise, and nobody should attack the snowballs unless needed.

When Yeti performs a room-wide AoE, hit it with the snowballs (line up behind it and attack it) to stop the casting. The larger Frostbound adds will not turn into snowballs and will break snowballs if given the chance, and should be killed quickly.

Snowballs come in different sizes: small, medium and large. Snowballs that are hit by further frost cone attacks or merged together will increase in size. Larger snowballs deal more damage to the Yeti.

Immediately before Lunar Cry, four icicles drop to the ground in a diamond pattern, preempted by AoE damage circles. The first time Lunar Cry is cast, prior to the end of the cast, you can hide behind any of the four icicles to block the attack. '''On casts after the first time, you must hide behind the blue icicle as three of the four icicles will explode.''' Initially, all four will be the same color, but three change, leaving one to remain blue partway through the cast. As soon as Lunar Cry finishes, the icicle will explode in a circular AoE, freezing nearby players for 10 seconds.
